This is a question I get A LOT! Can you use other store coupons at Walmart?
I wish I could just answer yes or no, but it is both! Each week Randall’s (a Safeway store) and other other stores offer MANY store coupons. In Walmart’s coupon policy it says that they accept competitor’s coupons:
Competitors’ coupons
- A specific item for a specified price, for example, $2.99
- Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons for items with a specified price
- Have a valid expiration date
- Are acceptable in black and white
This is what they DON’T accept:
Competitors’ coupons
- Dollars/cents off at a specific retailer
- Percentage off
- Buy one, get one free (BOGO) coupons without a specified price
- Double- or triple-value coupons
Today in the Randall’s ad there is a full page of Competitor’s coupons. You have to look at each on ego determine if you can use that coupon at Walmart. In my picture above you can see that the first 2 coupons you can not use, but the last one you can. Why? The first 2 do NOT list a specific price of the product. Only the last one lists the Clorox at $1.99.
Now, they are not going to scan the competitors coupon. They will just basically be overriding the Walmart price and inputting the competitor’s price. That is why you have to have a specific price listed, the cashiers have to know what price to put in.
Any questions? I would love to help!

Will walmart match “10for $10 with card”sales like Kroger often does?
