These are the details:
- Up to 5 Sunday papers delivered
- Must pay for each subscription in advance (so $26 each or $130 for all 5 a year)
- If you already have a subscription, you an ADD to the one you have. If you get 3 now, you can add 2 at the $.50.
To get this deal you need to call 1-855-753-8265 (toll free).
** DO NOT call the 713 number you must call the 855 number and TELL them that you want the multiple subscriptions and that you were sent by Coupons, Dollars and Cents!
When calling to get the special deal on the Chronicle, please be polite and if trouble, simply be strong and polite explaining, you are getting the coupon saving deal, you can get up to 5 for the $26 each per year, and can add to your existing order if you are already a customer. I just spoke with the supervisor and hope that all kinks are worked out.

I just called and customer service said I could purchase a total of 9 subscriptions at the .50 a week rate.
They told me that same thing!! That it wouldbe $26 a year to get 9 subscriptions? Have they charged your card yet? they have not done mine yet I am kind of curious if it a scam or not. My mother called first and they tolf her if would be $26 per subscription, but told me diffrently. So she called and they told her that she would have to call customer service. So she did and they said she was not in the system. So we are very confused!!!!!
It should be $26 for EACH subscription, I know that it is not a scam, the question is if they can charge you the right price!
Just called and ordered 3 more subscriptions, but the lady told me that they would charge the $1.50 to my card each week instead of all at once, which seemed strange. Hope it works out!
I just got the deal by calling the 855#. The guy was super nice. He knew exactly what I was asking for. He even asked me if I watched EC and wondered how he could save with coupons 🙂

Told me the same thing…its not for current subscribers…and I have called so many people today that I am not even interested anymore.
I called the 855# as well, you have to mention the deal or they most likely will not know what you are referring to. I was also told I will be charged per week (4 subscriptions x .50 = $2.00).
as usual they gave me a hassel and wouldn’t givee it to me because i am a current subscriber.
Did you call the number I gave you? We have had no problems with them today, they have been super friendly and know what deal we are talking about.
He knew exactly what I was talkning about but said he couldn’t do it for current subscribers and thats when he said to call local number and i did and they said to call the 855 number back and i did and they said call 713 number back and i did….and this went on for hours….

Maybe just cancel your current subscription and call the 855 number in a few days. I think I will do that.

I was able to get that deal back in Feb. I called Dustin Echos at 832-764-6098 He works for the Chronicle. He came to my house and signed me up. I paid him for all 5 papers . It was that easy. I am sure he would like to hear from you all.

Ok well – I called today – I had ordered 3 wks ago – NO PAPER the last 2 weeks.
So I am told… My address is NOT deliverable! WHAT!!! And they would NOT mail them! I LIVE IN TAMINA!!! I am not on Jupiter! LOL
They said there are not enough customers in my area! WHAT!!! You mean to tell me – the neighborhoods around me dont get papers???
Plan on calling and talking to a manager tomorrow. I had a million things going on today – so I could not “Play” on the phone!
BUT I will say the gal I talked to said she would write my name and address down and check for me weekly to see if we get service! LOL But NEVER asked for my phone number and I did not realize till AFTER I got off the phone with her! YIKES!
Sooooooooo – the other thing was she told me that IF I was interested in running a route to call and then I would get excess coupons if they gave me too many! I asked how often that happens… she said her kids used to have a good 10-20 after stuffing papers! Hmmmm – MONEY from delivering… PLUS My 5 copies… PLUS another possible 10-20!!!
My kids are 14, 13, 12, 10 & 8! Wonder if we can just do Sunday or if we have to do ALL week?!!?

Today the phone was answered on the second ring, the lady knew about the deal I was talking about & was very nice. YAY!! So excited to be getting the delivery.
I just tried calling the 855# to add to my existing subscription and they said that that # was only for new subscribers and gave me the 713-222 number. The rep that I spoke with there told me me that I can only have I subscription at that price and that the additionals would be $1.25 each??? Does that sound right? Who else could I speak to?
NO!! CAll back to the 855 number! Ask for someone else to help you if they dont give you the deal! You have to specifically ask for it!
I just called and got the deal. My deal also came with the Monday thru Saturday paper. Is it worth it to have them deliver on those days as well? Are there ever coupons in the daily paper?

They want to deliver the newspaper every day for the delivery numbers. I used to work at a newspaper. They make their money through the ads, advertisers want to see how many people buy the newspaper. It is only to benefit them.

After 4 calls to the same 855# I FINALLY spoke with a woman who sounded like she was about to fall asleep but nontheless……very knowledgable. I added the additionals to my new account. It seems the “wonderful” managers at HC cannot pull up any other offer once you purchase a subscription from Groupon. After the third time speaking to a “manager” who in my world, pretty much called me stupid, I hung up and called back until I finally reached an intelligent representative. The third manager told me I called the wrong number which was 8267. I informed him of the rollover numbers since the original was 8265. He spoke to me like I was a child who had never used a phone before. He stated I needed to again call back to the 8265 # and ask for this offer.
And we needed to cut funding for our schools? Please!

I am a current subscriber & called the 855# to add on. Natalie told me this # is only for new subscribers and told me to call either 888-220-7211 or 713-220-7211 to add on. I spoke to Andrew, who told me I could only add on 1 subscription at the $26/year rate, but I could add on beyond that at $1.50/week. I just added the 1 subscription, but may call back later to see what else I can do.
hmmm…after reading some of the earlier comments I hope I actually GET my papers, lol! The lady I spoke w/was super nice. I told her I live in the Austin area and she said I’d still get it. I hope so! She said that they were a 3rd party company not affiliated w/the Chronicle. That may explain a few things.
Wow, you were not exagerating when you said the customer service stinks! Multiple times during the conversation I kept wondering if he was being serious. I was told I would also get the Monday- Saturday paper as well. Hope it all works out.

And I was also told I could get up to 9 copies, I ordered two.

I just called and got 9 subscriptions for $26 year. They told me that I would be charged all at once, in advance. It seems the delivery is for Sunday only and the other days mentioned is for the e-edition (online). I did not want to pick up 9 papers every day 🙂 Thanks for the great information!!

2nd – I already had 1 subscription, and i just got 5 more. Said it would take 4-5 days to start, so I should start getting them in 2 weeks. Still confused if it will be one large charge for 2.50/week every week

I actually got mine 50cents Sunday only (two copies) thru. 713 number a few weeks ago.
I changed my current subscription from 5days to Sunday only for 50cents, then added one more the following day for 50cents more! So $1 for two copies each week, I’m happy about it!
I’ve never had the Chronicle delivered. Do they deliver without problems or are you always on the phone trying to find out where your paper is? I ordered 2 and hope they deliver two. I called the actual Chronicle number to confirm my order and they don’t have it in the system yet. The number to place the order was a Virginia number. They said it should take a day to be in the system. I’ll try again later. Don’t know whether to buy papers this weekend or wait to see if they are delivered on Sunday.
I did this deal on Thursday. I subscribed to 4 papers and was told I would be charged $2.00/wk. Saturday I was charged $26.00 to my account and come today, I have one newspaper! I called the 855#, closed! Called the Houston # and was told “the blogs” were wrong and I can only get one subscription. I told him I went off what his representative told me, not the blogs. Now I have to call tomorrow, to get this all resolved!
I will call also, this is why I HATE them so much, they have the worst service ever. They work out a deal with us, then say that c**ap!

Hi everyone – Newbie here, just wanted to let you know that I called the 855# today (yes, I’m really late!) and it was not a working number, so i clicked the link that Misty provided above and I was able to get my Sunday only subscription for .50 cents per week, and I paid for it online. Not sure how I would go about adding a second one, but I’m happy for now with one. If you still need the deal, go for it!
