Another BIG FAT NO…. hate humidity! I love to curl my hair, but the moment I step outside all my hard work goes straight down the tubes. My daughter loves me to curl her hair in tiny spiral curls, which not only takes an hour – but also an entire can of hairspray – blah! I have to say that my chi is my very best friend, next to my instyler – if you haven’t tried that one yet, you need to!

I actually think my hair works better in humidity. I used to live in the west and hated how my hair tended to look dry and full of static all the time. Since moving to the south it looks more nourished. My hair is naturally straight though and doesn’t hold curl in any weather. It kinks occasionally, but I prefer it to the static.

I’m glad i live in So Cal, no humidity for us but when I travel to a humid location my hair get very curly. I have to put product in my hair otherwise I look like a Chia pet.

My hair and humidity definitely do not get along, I’ve gone as far as layering it and keeping it as short as I can to try to get it to behave. Unfortunately, my daughter has inherited my hair so now I’m having to use hot oil treatments on her hair just so she can brush it.

My naturally curly hair does better without the humidity but as I live in SW Florida, I just have to deal with bad hair days as it is almost always humid here!

I “like” … well love both yours and your hubby’s cite’s and fb. Your daily newsletters are among my favorites!! As my hair, ummm I guess you could say that the slightest bit of humidity put’s me back under a disco ball with the most wicked fro, lol! I have very, very thick natural curly hair and it is almost a part time job to keep it tamed… especially in humid weather :-/
