This is a video about how I organize my coupons. I use the binder method. Meaning… I organize them in a zippered binder. This is the one that I use HERE. I use baseball card holders that I “borrowed” from my son. They were his Pokeman card holders but he got too old for those and was throwing them out.
I cut my coupons out and slide them in the baseball card slots, some coupons I have to fold a little, I like to leave the picture facing forward so I can see what I have. This also makes it easy for me to pull out the expired coupons.
When I go to the store I set my binder in the child seat in front of me in the cart. As I walk down each aisle I am able to flip right to that section to see what coupons I have that match up with the item I am looking to buy. I divide my pages into sections according to the aisle’s you might find in the store. Like, baking, deli, cereal, etc. I also divide a second section according to things you might find in a drug store.

It finally feels like summer is here, not that it hasn’t been hot, but that we are getting mostly unpacked and the traditional summer schedule has started!
My kids are home and really enjoy helping with meals. My son who is 13 is the most interested in what we plan on having for dinner during the week. Part of the reason is the AMOUNT of food that he is eating and also that he has always been a “good eater”. Meaning, that even when he was little, he loved mushrooms, sushi, onions and other “adult food”. He takes a very active roll in planning and making dinner.
Sunday – We are spending most of the day outside with the kids, it is REALLY hot and I don’t have anything planned for dinner. I know it is a crime, but we might be having cold cereal for dinner tonight 🙂
Monday – Muflatta Sandwiches. I posted the recipe below, and am making a few tomorrow during the day. My kids and husband will pull these out of the fridge for the next few days, cut a slice off and chow down!
Tuesday – Tacos. I have frozen hamburger, taco seasoning and some tortillas that I need to use up. This is a SUPER cheap dinner and good for the summer.
Wednesday – Broiled Tilapia. FAMILY FAVORITE! If you think you do not like fish…. please give this one a try!
For the last few days of the week, I am going to try a few new recipes and post them daily. Last week when I said I was not sure what we were having a few reads sent in meal ideas and I want to try them!
A few years ago when my brother was getting married and I was the caterer…
I was addicted to Food Network trying to find recipes. One day I saw this one and we have been making it ever since! BTW, I made 23 of these for my brothers wedding (as part of a HUGE menu) and they were a HUGE hit!
My husband made these the other day, we always make extra and wrap them tightly in saran wrap to keep in the fridge for a day or so. We take them to the ball park for dinner and cut off slices for everyone!
When I went back to find the original recipe from Giada this is the recipe that they had. It is NOT the one I saw her make a few years ago, so I will try and tell you how to do it!
I buy the italian Muffuletta bread, it is usually round. My husband grabbed a loaf style for this one. Slice it in half and toast both sides. Set aside.
Make 2 egg crepes to fit the halves or 4 to fit a loaf.
To make the crepe, beat an egg well add a little milk. Get your pan hot and add butter, pour the egg mixture in and swirl around so it is thin. Cook on one side for about 2 min, sometimes you have to flip over sometimes it is already cook. Place on plate to cool.
I am so glad to a great deal at Office Max! There are great deals at Staples but for me that is a really far drive!
