I was able to get this deal but it was such a nightmare it took forever to get a supervisor to override the system. When no one came they moved me to customer service. When the supervisor showed up she decided that she didn’t agree with the Walmart policy and that she would either honor the gift card at Walmart’s regular price or she would honor the amazon price but not both. I could choose which one I wanted… She then proceeded to say that if it was sold out on walmart.com she couldn’t honor the gift card even though in the store on the shelf it said you got a gift card with the purchase. Then she said that this was a black Friday deal even though I showed her on Walmart.com that this is an active deal. Finally she agreed to try to ring it up. I told her to ring it up with the price adjustment to see if it triggered the gift card, she did that, then as soon as it triggered the gift card she voided the sale and refused to give it to me. She said that it’s not FAIR that I get both. FAIR??? Finally (now this is going on 45 minutes) I said I want her to either call the 1800 Walmart number or to call her boss because just because she doesn’t like the Walmart policy doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist and because she has a vest doesn’t mean she makes up the policies. She finally called her boss who said it’s the policy and if it’s triggering the gift card then it should be honored. She was livid that she had to give me this deal. The family behind me was doing the same deal and even had a receipt that their daughter had given them for the same deal she had done earlier with no issues. I am amazed that this is the kind of nonsense that goes on in these stores. You as an employee don’t like the policy because you don’t think it’s fair so you decide to make the rules up yourself because you are a supervisor. What a way to run a company!
