Houston is getting a few Aldi’s stores! They started building in the fall and a few are almost ready to open. Aldi’s is SOOOOO fun to shop! You can save so much money!
The location closest to me will be on 2920 by 1-45 across from the new HEB.
A few things about Aldi’s:
- Bring a quarter if you want a cart. You will need it to get a cart, and you get it back when you return your cart.
- Bring your own bags, or you will need to pay for them there.
- They do not take coupons.
- They take debit cards and cash, no credit cards.
- You will be able to find, meat, produce, canned and boxed items, paper goods and more!

Love love love Aldi. We moved from the northeast couple of years back and the only thing I really missed from out there there was Aldi. I am so excited they are opening here.
We missed ALDI. Had them in Michigan and als back home in Germany.
The products are high quality and it very difficult for suppliers to ge in. if they don’t deliver top quality they are out.
There prices are cheap because of the store set up, no cart collection and they DON’T PROVIDE BAGS. You have to bring your own shopping bags or can use one of their empty boxes.
They are building an Aldi’s in Katy on Fry Road. Did I read that correct? No coupons??? I’ll check it out for the meat/produce prices.
Yay! We used to live in MI and now we will be getting one so close to us on 2920…so excited! Thanks for keeping up with it, hopefully the prices are like they are in MI, its so low!
When is the location at I45 and 2920 opening??
