In the past month, I have been stopped almost every time I am in the store and asked about my binders that I keep my coupons in.
This is a very quick and rough video explaining how I organize my coupons.
I buy anywhere from 4-10 Sunday papers a week, depending on the coupons. I have one delivered to my house, I also “steal” my parents inserts! On Saturday’s they sell the early edition Sunday paper, this one has the coupons in it. If I get lucky my $1 store has them for only $1 on Saturday, if I don’t get there in time I have to run over to Walmart and pay $1.75. I will sit in the store and look through the coupons to decide how many papers I want to buy. If they have lots of Buy one get one free items or coupons I like I get more. You can also go online and google “Smart Source” and “Red Plum” to find out ahead of time what coupons will be in the paper.
I use a binder and baseball card holders. I cut each coupon out and file them by sections of the store. I put the binder on the spine in the child seat and walk through the store flipping to that section as I am in each aisle.
These are the tabs I use in my grocery binder: Dairy, boxed, frozen, drinks, snacks, canned and jars, deli, non-food, animals, Mom and baby, baking, cereal, cleaning, paper goods, bread and vegetables. These are the tabs I have in my cvs binder: shaving, lotion and body wash, teeth, deodorant, shampoo and hair, make up, and pharmacy.
I try and go to the store without kids late at night. I NEVER go between 3-8pm with kids, it is a nightmare! If I go in the morning with my little ones or if I have to take all of them I always give them a job to do. The older kids hold coupons, all of them can help me look for items even the little ones. I try to make it fun for everyone or I end up yelling!
Many times I have had a bigger child push a cart while I shop, or even each of us push a cart if there are specific deals going on where I have to go through the checkout multiple times. Kids are smart and they want to help, it keeps them busy and makes them feel important. I try and have them use their math skills and figure out the prices in their heads.
If you have any specific questions please ask, when I have a chance to make a better video and include everything that I forgot I will!

Just as angelic as she looks, this girl could easily raise a Village by herself, and all the children would grow up to be President.
Self proclaimed, she would be a webkinz dog. Because, "they're cute, and puppies are too. And they're sweet and they always get along with other puppies."

Thanks for sharing! That is an awesome way to organize coupons. It’s not a wonder you are able to save soooo much. I’ll remember this when we get back to the states….rarely get coupons over here:(
Looks great! Thanks for sharing. I’m just wondering where on earth you find so many coupons?!?!?! I cut ones I use out of the Sunday paper and use the local store ads and even print some off the Internet, but I have maybe a tenth of the amount of coupons. Where do they come from? Thanks!
I should have posted that I buy anywhere from 4-10 papers a week depending on the coupons inside.
I posted a little paragraph about how many papers I get.
How do you get so much stuff and your garage is soooo full when I do the same thing and only get half as much?
Because I have Susan who calls me with all the deals all day!! Hey, I try and help! I promise! Don’t give up!
Thanks! Do you give stuff away when you find freebies/good deals on items you don’t use?
I always pick up items that are free or a great deal even if I can’t use them. I donate them to our school or church. I gave away most of my stockpile during our last hurricane and the rest of it at Christmas time.
I always go shopping late at night too. Usually friday night around 10pm after work. It's so much more peaceful then. I actually consider it "me" time. Sometimes I wished i lived in the US just to be able to shop at CVS
