The CVS coupon policy says coupons cannot be applied to free items, so will CVS accept coupons on the free items in the above scenario?

This is what i am reading:
Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offer, if required by applicable state laws. Two coupons may be used on a Buy One, Get One Free promotion as long as it does not exceed the item total
o Ex. Suave Shampoo is on sale for $2.00 Buy One, Get One Free and the customer is purchasing two shampoos; customer may use two coupons for $1.00 each and pay the applicable tax.
Buy One, Get One Free promotions may be combined with Buy One, Get One Free Coupons. Customers are responsible for paying applicable tax
o Ex. Suave Shampoo is on sale for $2.00 BOGO and customer has a MFG coupon for Suave BOGO. Customer will receive both items for free but will need to pay any applicable tax.
So I am thinking that they will take 2 possibly 3, I would bring 3 with me.

The question I’m referring to is on the website under most popular questions (I searched coupon policy in the search box at cvs.com) “Does CVS/pharmacy allow more than 1 coupon to be used per transaction?”
A. Yes. CVS/pharmacy allows ONE CVS/pharmacy and ONE third party manufacturer coupon per item. A transaction is defined as the entirety of purchases on a single receipt. ExtraBucks® Rewards coupons can be applied toward the final cost. Normal exclusions apply. See the bottom of the ExtraBucks® Rewards coupon for details.
Note: Coupons cannot be applied to a “free” item.

I would just ask at your store so you feel comfortable with it. Or give CVS corporate a call. I don’t have a problem at all not using 1-2 on the others if that is what CVS is asking for. What I did was go by what I understood from the policy.

I see the Walgreen’s sale in the 6/16/13 ad not the 6/9/13 ad. Did I miss something?
Tiffany says
Yes, that is correct, JUne 16th for Walgreens and the 16th for CVS!
Tiffany says
OK no it is me, I am completely loosing it today!

Love this deal!! I’m a bit obsessed with laundry detergent lol!

I thought CVS was like Publix and would let you use more than one coupon on a B1G1F. Like the shampoo above, instead of ringing it up at $2 for one bottle and $0 for the second bottle, I thought they rang each bottle up at $1. I could be wrong.

Perfect timing – I’m almost out of laundry detergent – GASP!!! 🙂

Tiffany, I looked through every page of those coupons & didn’t see a Purex coupon. Did I miss something? Thanks for your help.

I just printed a $3 off 2 purex coupon on coupons.com. Can this coupon be used with the Buy 1 Get Two Free deal?

I think I just found the answer…probably not. The size must be 125 oz or larger…and that is not what is advertised in the CVS deal. 🙁
