We don’t often have our kids birthday parties at a “place” in fact, I can count on one hand the number of times that we have not had a birthday party at our home or a park of some kind. I just don’t spend that kind of money on a location party for my kids.
HOWEVER, my oldest daughter was turning 13 and she never asks for much, she really wanted to take the family and some friends to Sky High for her party.
A few of my other kids had been there for parties and there was currently a Groupon available, so we relented and said YES!
I was not sorry at ALL! We had an absolute BLAST!
My criteria basically for spending money for fun ( that sounds weird ) is the following:
Can the whole family have fun? – Some places are cool for certain age groups… and then some of us get stuck watching the others have fun.
And…
Are they getting something out of it in addition to having momentary fun? For example, pumping quarters into a video game does not equal hand eye coordination skills no matter how many times they try and sell me that!
For example, that is my husband doing a flip in to a foam pit on the left and my littles on the right as I pulled them out of the same foam pit! They even open up a separate section for the little kids to jump by themselves!
Did you know you burn 1,000 calories an hour jumping? OMGosh! I was sweating after 10 minutes (yes I jumped!) and thought I was going to pass out. It was the best exercise! They need to have fitness classes there, I would make the drive everyday!
Here are some more things that Sky High has to offer:
- Groupon Deal – $9 for a $18 voucher
- Family Night – Thursdays 5pm till close
- Dodgeball – Both kids and adult teams
- Special Days For Kids With Special Needs
- MUNCHKIN MONDAYS
- Airobics – Seriously I will go to this with anyone who wants to carpool!
- Fundraisers – We’d love to help you raise much needed funds for your non-profit group
- Friday Night Special – 9pm to Midnight $20 – You get unlimited jumping, 2 slices pizza, small drink, unlimited games and more!
Basically, we had a blast and would go back again as soon as possible. It was worth it to me because my entire family was able to play together and the exercise we got was awesome! If you are looking for something to do as a family or for a kids birthday party, this is a great option!
Disclosure – Sky High sponsored this post but only after I contacted them to tell them how awesome they were and how much we loved their staff and facility! All opinions are my own.

Part comedian, part Dad, part athlete. He will boss around your children while they play ball.
Just as angelic as she looks, this girl could easily raise a Village by herself, and all the children would grow up to be President.
Self proclaimed, she would be a webkinz dog. Because, "they're cute, and puppies are too. And they're sweet and they always get along with other puppies."
This mini-Martha Stewart can handle ANY craft you send her way. She isn't all bows and rainbows, she's got karate kid moves!
Not "Pick-Me-Up" like caffeine, she wants you to pick her up! AND NOW!

Practically Perfect in Every Way for now! Nicknamed "The Panda" she is rolly polly and lives by the motto, "the little one, is KING!"
The resident Labradoodle, Miller got his name because Mom won and got to name the baby! Need something chewed up? He'll take care of it. Especially if it's expensive..
My son (5) and I love this place too! The foam pit is awesome. I’ve purchased Groupons from them two different times now. I wish we had one in The Woodlands!
