Reader Jennifer’s Kroger Mega Event trip actually looks a lot like mine did! She broke up her transactions so that she could use the catalinas she got from one transaction to help pay for another!
I couldn’t get my hands on the reach floss but was able to find lady speed stick on close out for $.84 making it a MM with $1 Q!

I don’t shop at Kroger much but can you use the catalinas you get on one transaction to purchase more of the same product? I know you can’t do that at Walgreens but I wasn’t sure about Kroger.

Some roll some dont. I wasn’t willing to trial and error on this trip. That’s why I broke them down. I’d buy 4 Capri sun with cheap items like the pasta and Pringles. Saved the Catalina’s for my second to last transaction that was most expensive and only gave back $2 Catalina (Kleenex). And I used the last Catalina for my very last transaction that included the free reach and deo and used cheap items like pasta and the Swiss rolls to get to 10. But not sure if these ones will roll. Typically they don’t but sometimes some do.
I found the lady speed stick on close out but Krogers would not take the $1.00 off coupons, I even asked a manager for help. Could I have asked someone else?
My Kroger will not take a coupon on a close out. Unless, it is a peelie (right on the product). And even then they seem to be grumpy about it.
Help! Learning the coupon game, I feel so good when I stand at the registar and watch my bill go down. Love your website learning a great deal , love the photos so you can visualize what you are buying. Now in the above mentioned mega event sale , what is a catalina, that you mentioned? I try to have a coupon for every item I buy, but sometimes can’t find them.

Catalina is a manufacturer coupon you get when you buy “x” amount of a certain product that prints out after you pay. Some you can roll onto other transactions to make your next bill smaller. Right now a great catalina is the capri suns. If you look on her Krogers page she has a list of the current catalinas. Hope that helps.

Great Trip! My Kroger will NOT do peelies or any other coupon on Discounted merchandise. But they use too.
