Our family tradition was to go my grandfather house for Thanksgiving. My mom cooks it. Whle my grandfather supervised. The dinner was always 6 but tradion it wasnt till 630. This 3rd year that past that my grandfather died. We have thanksgiving at my mom house now.
My grandmother died in 1982 and my mom promised to keep familt together. She started cooking meals in 1980n when my grandmother wa sick and contine after she died. She amazing. She looks so tired after she done all cooking. This year will be hard due to some family problems. SHe deserves the best because she gives best to others. Having thanksgiving with her in wv.

We are staying right here in GA. My parents will be in to visit for the week. I wanted to also say that I love Kroger and spent 5.35 there today for a 14.5 pound turkey, 3 pampers wipes, one Dawn and 1/2 gallon of OJ. BTW, our Kroger does not have free or reduced turkey’s with purchase, just the .69 a pound ones. Love your site!
Wednesday we will be having dinner with my husband’s side of the family at my in-laws house, then Thursday we will be having dinner with my family. The location for Thursday is still unknown, because my Papa has Alzheimer’s and is in a special-needs health care home and we don’t know if they’ll let him come home for the holiday. If they let him leave, we’ll eat at my Aunt’s house because it’s not as far a trip for him, but if they won’t let him leave, we’ll have dinner at my parents’ house.
We usually spend the holiday with family here in the Houston area, but this year we are spending it with dear friends a few hours down the road. Just want to let you know, I love having someone more familiar with the stores in the area that I shop in. You do a great job.

We’re spending Thanksgiving with my husbands grandmother. She had a rough year with her osteoporosis cauwond sing several fractures in her back that mend on top of her other ailments. Her dressing was by far thw best and so was her gravy. Now all of use are getting the meal together so that she doesn’t have to do a thing.
We will spend Thanksgiving with my husband’s family in Arkansas. Mamaw is hosting the big spread and she is almost 89. I live close to her so I usually bring most of it and if they do not like the dish Mamaw says she tried to make it a different way (our little secret unless his cousin’s are addicted to my litter like me LOL). We have a Kroger 2 hours away but sometimes if it is a great sale I will go visit my sister-in-law. Any excuse will do.

Well this year we, as in my husband and I, are spending Thanksgiving on a mini-vacation. Our anniversary is on Sunday the 25th, we will of been married for 23 years and we’ve never done anything for anniversary, not even dinner out, so I booked us a mini-vaca and made arrangements for all the kids, 🙂

Wow! My family and I are finally going to go somewhere… it’s only to Dallas, we live in the woodlands area, but we are leaving the city! My husband has been in the restaurant biz for so long we have not been able to go anywhere. He is now in a different field and is off on holidays and weekends! It’s a whole new world. So, we will be going to his sisters house and have Thanksgiving there. I’m super excited. We will be spending Thanksgiving at home. We live in Idaho and our whole family lives in CA. Most of the time no one wants to make the drive up here to visit unless we go down but with my hubby’s work schedule we can’t go this year but I am always thankful for what we have, atleast our family of 4.

Spending the day hosting Thanksgiving at my house. So happy that my two girls that I miss dearly will be home for Thanksgiving so the six of us….two still living at home can all be together. This will be our best Thanksgiving yet because the ones gone miss us…and I think realize how great life is at home with real food etc. and my two at home realize how much they miss the two that they were happy to say bye to in August. My parents and my husbands are coming with a few Aunts Uncles and Cousins !! So very blessed !!

I am spending this Friday and Saturday celebrating Thanksgiving at my 94 year old Grandfather’s farm. There will be about 60 of us there. All of my Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, etc. It is always a wonderful time there. Thanksgiving day will be spent at my house with mine and my husbands family. There will be about 25 of us. I just moved her from California. I have no friends or family her, so I will just be me, my kids, and my husband. I wish I had my friends or my family here to spend the holidays. It has been getting harder and makes me sadder as it gets closer to the holidays. At least I have my kids and husband….and that I am thankfull for.
I will have the pleasure of having my father from Utah and his wife and two dogs join us for Thanksgiving in The Woodlands! So excited because this is the first time that I will have any family over for Thanksgiving for over 4 years!
Every year we have to attend two Thanksgivings. We have a large family so we plan to go to my side of the family first in the afternoon (around 40+ people) then rush over to my husband side of the family that is also around 30-40 people. Mostly all of them are adults!!! Its all FUN! We all bring something, but the food can go fast! 🙂

We will be spending Thanksgiving here in Arizona flying my dad in that we havent been able to see in 3 years. He is pretty sick but the doctors said he is ok to fly out. Than after we have dinner we will be going around to the nursing homes bringing dinner to the paients that dont have family to visit them cause i take care of the elderly and that is the worst way to spend the holidays when you see other patients havng their family visit and you are sitting there staring at the wall. so we will bring smiles to some of their faces and thats what we are thankful for.

Well since my mom have a accident now i have to take care of her so were basically spending it at my house. I have to take her with me. She was diagnosis with demencia. So its going to be kinda sad day for our family but im pretty sure we will still a best thanksgiving ever with her. N guess what? even her sistuation when we walk together every news paper she sees on the floor she will get. My 2 kids, husband, mother-n-law, and I will be at home (houston) doing nothing! I do not have the money to buy anything. I am trying to figure out how to pay my bills right know so I couldnt spend any extra money on grocerys only bought some stuff to get me buy for this week. I would really love this and be super grateful as will my family this holiday season has already started off really bad my husband hurt his back on 9/11/12 and has been on workers comp ever since and is only getting 60% of his check and i only work a few hours a week if I’m lucky. we moved here about 5 yrs ago so i have no other family here my husband has friends and family here because he grew up here but it has been very hard for me. So if I do win this it would be great for us to be able to have a nice dinner together and grocery. thank you for all of your hard work!!!

This year my husband and I are hosting Thanksgiving with both of our entire family coming. Even our grandparents will be here, along with a bunch of friends who don’t have family close by. We think it’s going to be around 40 people (Please pray for me) but what a blessing it is to share this holiday with everyone.
I will be sharing the Duties of Making Thanksgiving Dinner with My Sister-In-Law , Mother, and Grandmother we will be cooking for a total of 24 people. I love this tradition, we all go to my grandmothers house early that day and start cooking….. AND all the younger wemon always want to make more, we never think there is enough, But my Grandmother always says that she grew up learning how to take 1 fish and feed thousands…. Then she always goes in to the Story of How Jesus Feed thousands with fish and bread…. Its always an awsome day!
I am blessed to be able to spend Thanksgiving with my family. We will eat dinner with my parents and then we all plan to go to have dessert with my granny in the nursing home. This is her first holiday away from us, so we want to make a special effort to make it special for her.

We have had Thanksgiving at our house for the past seven years (since we’ve been in our house) and will do the same this year. I LOVE it that way. Because my parents are divorced and both remarried. Both sides come for Thanksgiving (yes they get along..lol everyone is always shocked by that)
It is wonderful for my kiddos and I we get to be with both sides of the family and we don’t have to split our time between the two.

We used to always have it at my house but after my mom died unexpectantly 4 years ago, we then started having Thanksgiving at my dad’s. I kind of took over cooking where mom left off by making lots of food for our large family and friends. We usually have around 27 or so people.

We will spend Thanksgiving Day with our two youngest children at home as the older two spend Thanksgiving with their dad. We will probably eat at Cracker Barrel or Luby’s BUT Saturday we will travel to my aunt’s in Madisonville for a HUGE family get together. There will probably be over 50 of the extended family there. The kids will play in the hay, ride 4 wheelers, and just get dirty. We will eat in the big red barn where we have so many good memories and catch up with each other’s lives. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because we get to see so many that we won’t see again (except on Facebook) until we do it again at Easter.

My husband and I were going to visit our daughter who just started college at Tech so she wasn’t alone as she just got a job. But…we just found out last night that my precious mother-in-law has a month to live (maybe through Christmas). I would be amazingly appreciative as I could make sure both houses have a proper Thanksgiving as I will still be going to visit out daughter and he will be staying with his mom (father-on-law died 3 years ago).
Since we live so far away from our family, we had decided to spend Thanksgiving at home this year. A sweet family from our church found out we were staying home, so they have invited us to spend the day with them. 🙂

Finally going to spend it back home with family. First at my brothers and then at my mother in laws. For the past 2 years we have been unable due to being military and stationed in Kansas plus having a child due right at thanksgiving time. So glad and thankful to be home again.

We are going to be spending Thanksgiving with our friends and family at our Church first. We have a big dinner here God’ Word and then have a praise service telling how great and wonderful Jesus has been to us this year. Then we have a small family get together at my house where we pretty much do the same in giving thanks to God.
My kids and I will be going to thanksgiving lunch at my grandmother’s on my Dad’s side. Then unfortunately it’s the family split while 2 go to dinner with their dad and my oldest and I enjoy family time at my Aunt’s house on my mom’s side. I enjoy the family gatherings the most but will be missing my brother who is currently serving in the Navy, my cousin who is stuck in New York, and we lost my Memaw about a month ago. I am so glad that despite all this we are still connected closely as a family 🙂

We will be having Thanksgiving at our house as we have the past seven years. I love love love it that way. My parents are divorced and both remarried (but all get along, yes people think it is strange. I think it is wonderful) Having it at my house means my kiddos get to see both sets of g-parents and all family memebers on both sides without traveling all day and splitting up our time between the two.

Of course for many years before our move to Texas… we spent our Thanksgiving at my InLaws… I attempt to recreate the dishes we had there each year – and truely miss the family time with everyone!

I’m spending Thanksgving with my dad and my mom(step-mom). It’s been many years since I’ve been so this is like a reconnection tradition for me. It’s also my youngest daughter’s first time being apart of this tradition. My dad is the only grandfather she has left and she loves him with all her being. We are going to my Mom’s house. But my husband wants me to cook him a turkey later because he likes the way mine taste better.
My husband will be working, but my 3 kids and I will be spending the day at my parent’s home with my sister’s family, my 86 year old grandmother and possibly a couple cousins and aunts and uncles! Mom is cooking the turkey and dressing and we will all potluck the rest! That morning- I will sit and watch the Macy’s parade with my kids just like my grandpa did with me ever year.. It’s a timeless tradition!
My dad just passed on October 18 after a 3 month battle with pancreatic cancer so this is going to be a hard holiday for my family. My mom is coming to visit and my husband has to work. My husband is a firefighter with Houston so the guys at the station will be cooking and we plan to spend Thanksgiving there. I would still love to have my own Turkey to fry for thanksgiving leftovers.

Hello Tiffany what an awesome giveaway…how very thankful somebody will be this holiday season. Well this year we will be having Thanksgiving at one of my cousins house. They purchased it last year (first home) but it was too late to prepare for a family gathering. Our family all pitches in and brings dishes no matter the home, I will be making my famous sausage cheese balls, green bean casserole, baked macaroni and a new dessert dish my friend stationed in Japan shared with me recently…peanut butter chocolate squares, yummmm and of course we all pitch in and clean afterwards. We have family coming in from Oklahoma and Dallas and all are very excited. I hope you also have a great holiday and thank you for all the blessings you give each and every one of us on daily.

I am undergoing my sixth chemotherapy treatment on Tuesday (for Stage III endometrial cancer), so I will be sick on Thanksgiving! But hopefully I’ll be in remission by Christmas! My family (husband, 3 year old daughter, and one year old son) have sacrificed so much for me this year, so I have much to be thankful for! This year, I’ll be cooking the Sunday after Thanksgiving because I want to carry on the tradition we started when we 0 miles from our family 8 years ago and I want to thank my little family for all that they’ve endured with me the past 9 months!

For Thanksgiving I am very thankful my Dad will be with us. He just have open heart surgery . If it wasn’t for our dog ( Tinkerbell )passing away he wouldn’t be here today She saved his life.

She was at home when she passed away. The animal worker came by to pick her up but the worker couldn’t lift her. So my dad help the gal out to carry tinker out to the truck. Tinker was about 90 pound dog. When he came back in the house. He was very weak and shaky. Make long story short the doctor was amaze that he did not died that day too. My dad is thankful that he alive and feeling better too. Have a Happy Thanksgiving Day 😀

I’ll be spending my Thanksgiving with my in-laws. They live in the country, and we have 3 days of feasting, a hay ride at dusk and a campfire with toasted marshmallows and smore’s!

Wow, there are a ton of posts. Our family will be celebrating this year by gathering together at our home in Weimar. Thanksgiving to us is an important time to enjoy our extended family. Most importantly to show our children to be truly thankful for all the little everyday blessing in life. We are located close to Katy. I hope you consider this the Houston area. Because a shopping trip with you would be the thrill of my lifetime.
My family will have a small get together with my parents. I will be experimenting my sweet potatoes with some See’s candies scotch kisses that are carmel and marshmallow candy. So excited for that. Also excited for some great shopping deals that night since I work the next day!

My family is going to spend Thanksgiving at my mother’s this year with my sisters and nieces and nephews. I love being able to go back home and see my family and friends. I wish I could meet you but I live to far, maybe one day! 🙂

We always have Thanksgiving at our house and we love it! My husband is lucky#13 out of 13 children( he is the baby). Everyone comes so lots of children, grandchildren, nieces ect. Would love to go shopping with you – we need alot of food! :)*

I will be spending thanksgiving at my moms with my 4 brothers and sisters and there crew ( which equals about 20 of us). My 92 year old grandma is in from California! My husband will go to his moms because his Mammaw is in town and she has a new great grand baby to hold! I am not usually with my family on thanksgiving because I am a nurse and the hospitals never close. I work in labor and delivery and those babies like to come after a big meal:) I would live to go shopping with you and learn some more tricks to save money! Thanks!
My family will be spending Thanksgiving at home, and our Mothers will be coming to our house for dinner. There is so much to be thankful for this year. Even though our furance went out, and we cannot afford to fix it right now, we have wonderful small, safe space heaters that work wonders. We’re so glad that they are so much safer than they used to be.

I will be spending Thanksgiving (the day before and day after too) at work as a NICU nurse at Texas Children’s Hospital! I will share my time that day with my patients, their families, and my co-workers. After shift I will head back home to my family and enjoy a couple hours of the holiday with them 🙂

Both my husband’s and my family are pretty big. We hate having to divide one day. So we give both sides each a day of their own! We spend thanksgiving day with his family. And that following saturday, we have thanksgiving with my family. We spend the whole day with each, watching movies, playing games, and just enjoying time and of course, dinner with each other! Our families have fallen on hard times this year. Thankfully when it comes to my side, i’ve been able to gather what little bit I make helping his mamaw with things around their house, and my birthday money (thankful it falls this time of year so i can do so) to try and get together a dinner for them as best i can. We may not have anything extravagant. Or presents on certain holidays. But we always manage a dinner and pleanty of time together.
I go to my In-laws for Thanksgiving Dinner cause My Hubby was born on Thanksgiving so we are also celebrating his birthday. Then to My Grandmothers for afternoon snacking (she’s only 22 Miles away)There’s always lots of Turkey and Ham with all the trimmings.
