This is the picture and email from a friend and her account of a recent trip to Target…
So I just had to tell you about my Target pricematching experience…it was…not so good.
The checker at the cashier told me she could ring up all the items but that I’d have to take my receipt to guest services to get a refund issued for the pricematched items. When I asked guest services about this they said yes, if you have pricematched items you can ONLY do it at guest services (which is different than what you said but oh well…). So guest services made me unpack all of my packed groceries…did a return on my pricematched items…then rang up the new price (I did have to show my ads)…and then wanted to refund me the difference in the form of a gift card. I said absolutely not and that I wanted money back…so then they had to go through this 5 minute long process to get a cash refund. All of this took an extra 30 min of my time…with 2 whiny kids. So then I thought, what they heck…I’ll take up 5 more minutes and complain (nicely) to the manager. I basically told the manager that their pricematching policy was inconsistent and time-consuming…she said “thanks for your feedback…can I give you a $10 gift card for your trouble?” I swear I didn’t do that for a gift card…but I didn’t turn down her offer…so I waited another 5 minutes for her to figure out how to issue my gift card.
When it’s all said and done I paid $42 out of pocket (g.c. included) for all of this stuff in the picture (the baby doesn’t count…otherwise my total would be closer to $2500.00)…I did have a couple of frozen items that went straight to the freezer b/c they were half melted by the time I got home so they’re not pictured. I did buy a few things not on sale. I did get 3 packs of diapers, razor refills…those things are generally more pricey…I don’t know- was it worth it???
I’m not sure…I think I’ll wait for them to figure out their pricematching inconsistencies, etc before attempting that again. Either that or I go shopping with Jentry…she’s seems to be lucky at Target. Thanks for listening to my ramblings. The end.

well it is a rarity that we go into target, i love their soda and popcorn that you can get for like $1 in their food court but then they have any kid drinks that my son can have at our target, they do though have diet caffiene free pepsi–anyhow, I am getting off subject, but I did want to say because the target is so far away unless we are just price shopping around for a better price or item (usually big purchase item) then we tend to not go to target, I am just not a target person, and walmarts are closer and more convenient and seem to be cheaper–unfortunately target has a distribution center near our town that employs a lot of people so I feel I shoudl shop there more, but just don't
why is it that it is just so much easier to shop at walmart?

OH My, Target..I don't even want to go there with them. I have tried in the past taking advantages of their sales with target store coupons plus Man. Coupons however it has become such as hassle for them to accept some of them, that I just throw my hand up in the air anymore.
