We use pudding for the kids to learn their letters. Give a younger child a tray ( or if you are brave, just the table top) and dump a container of pudding in front of them. Now let them spread the pudding around and then with the tip of their finger have them “write” letters. Then they can easily “erase” by spreading the pudding out again! My kids LOVE to do this, even the older ones!
Kids learn to write more easily by using their larger muscles first, before attempting to hold a regular pencil. Plus, you can make a fun game out of it by letting them pick out their “flavor.”
