Mountain Dew Apple Dumplings are so completely, INSANELY good, I just can’t even tell you! I have posted the recipe before, but because you might be cooking for guests in the next few weeks I wanted to give you some ideas of things to make you a rock star at dinner!
Plus there are always coupons for crescent rolls!
Apple Dumplings
2 Granny Smith apples
2 cans crescent rolls
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoons vanilla
cinnamon
1 small can Mountain Dew
Peel and core apples. Cut apples into 8 slices each. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll. Place in a 9 x 13 buttered pan. Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir. Add vanilla, stir, and pour over apples. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Serve with ice cream, and spoon some of the sweet sauces from the pan over the top.

I’m concerned that this may be against my religion should I eat them when no one is around? Actually this sounds so good we are going to try it. My dad is a huge MD drinker and my husband has an occasional one but what a way to use it. THANKS!

LOL! Eat them fast and lick the pan!

I’ll let my husband know that is how we need to take care of it:)

Tiffany says
Those little half cans. I use just about a 1/2 of the regular size one.

ok another annoying question….could you use a knock-off soda like citrus drop?
Tiffany says
I am sure you could. I think it is the carbonation and sugar
