Is one of your New Years goals to get in better shape or loose weight is it to save money or spend less? Join about 1/2 of all American adults!
Statistics say 40 to 45% of American adult’s make one or more resolutions each year. Among the top new years resolutions are resolutions about weight loss, exercise, and stopping to smoke. Also popular are resolutions dealing with better money management / debt reduction.
The following shows how many of these resolutions are maintained as time goes on:
– past the first week: 75%
– past 2 weeks: 71%
– after one month: 64%
– after 6 months: 46%
While a lot of people who make new years resolutions do break them, research shows that making resolutions is useful. People who explicitly make resolutions are 10 times more likely to attain their goals than people who don’t explicitly make resolutions.
With that being said, I would like to help and encourage you (and myself) to stick with any of the goals that you might have, and help you achieve them! I can do this for you by posting cheap and free ideas and helps for you to make it easier and help financially get to where you want to be.
You can see these ideas by looking for posts with the NYR (New Years Resolutions) Stay on Track title in the post and by looking for the picture below on the side bar and clicking on it!

Any help we can get on anything would be greatly appreciated. My hubby and I are working toward paying off everything except our house and one car by this coming 2012 holiday season. So far we’re in month four and were on track. It’s not been easy, but were getting there. I would love all types of financial information. Maybe cheap travel ideas, airfaire, hotel and such. I have also been converting my husband to eating more organic foods. It has not been easy but were getting there. LOL
I am also working towards that pre baby shape I haven’t seen in a few years. So far it’s been going good. Down 3 pounds and that is through Thanksgiving and Christmas. All except for target putting their holiday oreos on clearance for $1.50. Man I wish I never knew that. LOL
