The Zaycon chicken event is OPEN for Houston! It is also going on in MANY parts of the country! Orders are due by OCTOBER 22nd!!

Katy Area: Nov. 8th. from 3:30 to 4:30pm.
I was introduced to Zaycon Foods earlier in the year, but I did not have a chance to try it until last month. Zaycon Foods combines the buying power of many families together, enabling them to negotiate huge savings on food purchases for your family. They bring products direct from the farm / processor, so it is super fresh!
They deliver all over the country, you can take a look HERE to see what is available in your area. I know that they are planning an event in Houston probably the second week of September.
This is what to do:
- Go HERE to Zaycon Foods.
- Create an account and register.
- When registering choose your area, this will allow them to know how many people are interested in an event in that area so they can set one up. Then you will get an email alerting you to an event that is coming. It is important to choose a location/state so that if you have people in that area waiting for enough to make an order, combining you all together will do that!
- Then go to “View my account” and you can see what is coming in your area and how to order!
These events will have a pick up location, as the product is fresh and not frozen so it is not shipped.
The chicken comes in a 40 pound box. It has 4 – 10 pound bags inside. This is what I did with my chicken order.
Buying in bulk is one of the ways that I save a lot of money on food. You do not have to have a large chest freezer to store this much chicken. Also, consider splitting an order with a friend or neighbor. The chicken is 100% natural chicken with no added hormones, additives or artificial ingredients, and will be priced around $1.49 a pound!!!

Do you know how long it will be before they do chicken again? I am trying to decide if I should get one or two boxes. I use about 15 pounds a month.
Carina, I spoke with the company this morning. Their ‘hope’ is to bring chicken to Houston once a quarter. So they will not be returning until sometime after the first of the year…
what size family do you have? we are a family of six and also wondering how much to order aswell if they are doing this every quarter.
We are a family of four but I know I go though a 4 ib bag a week right now so I think I will start with one box and hope they come in another three months!
Hi Tiffany, I only eat kosher chicken, so this doesn’t apply to me, but I was wondering if there is any way you can post most “kitchen” deals. I would love to see more deals on dishes or knives or things of that nature. Thanks so much, and thanks for all that you do!

i asked about the frequency of the deliveries when i picked up the bacon last month…they said every 3 months…one month bacon, next month chicken, next month beef.
i just wish they had a sat. delivery for us working moms that aren’t close to the woodlands during the week….the pickup went great on the bacon

Seriously though maybe someone can do a pick up? I will be going to the one in Katy (10miles closer for me, 20miles there 30+miles to the Woodlands). Only thing is I have no idea how I will bring it inside, yikes 40lbs and hubby will be still on his way home from work. Oh wait wagon! How well are the chicken and the box wrapped? I do not want “chicken juice” on DS’s wagon.

How does this work? do I pay online and then I have to pick up during that one hour? I think this is great for us college kids in Houston. We can all split the bags and store them in our freezer.

She can…a few days before pickup, they send you a confirmation reminder, you print it and bring it with you. They don’t ask for your I.d. As long as your mom has the confirmAtion

I was just on the site and they extended the ability to purchase to 10/28. Tiffany, we have a large family too, since you have purchased before and they only come one/quarter with different foods, is buying more than one 40 lb. box overkill since it will be frozen for so long?
I was considering getting 2…. I really think we could go through 2. You could also split the 2nd box with someone. If you want to do that and don’t find anyone, I might do it.
