I came to one of your classes, but I have watched you on tv too, and on the show, but what I need/want to know: they show you with a list and prices made out and so forth, and then you go through and get what you planned for, and then come out and pay the small amt. you “had figured”.
What I don’t understand I guess is that even though I used coupons and thought I have done what you “taught”/suggest I still cannot seem to do any large savings as you.
So would it be possible to “follow you from the very beginning” right before you enter the store and see exactly what you do regarding how you set up the list and figure the expected amt.
Or perhaps some other explanation more clear/concise than just couponing 101…which I have as regard to cut/clip/sort/file in the binder, etc.
If that would be possible I would appreciate it very much for any further help, as I have become frustrated in trying to have some sort of success other than a few small savings from week to week.
Thank you for any help

Couponing like on the show Extreme Couponing is not typical of most couponers. I have been doing this for 5 years and have yet to get $1000 worth of groceries for $5 in one shopping trip. What they don’t show you on the show is how people order multiple coupons (which costs money) and in the weeks previous, get as many catalinas as possible to get their total down for the show (which again costs money). The show and viewers do not see this which is deceiving to the unknowing public (blame the show for that). I try to save 50% on my grocery bill weekly by stockpilling. When you are beginning, you have to start out slow and steady. When a great deal or free item comes along, stock up (without shelf clearing 🙂 and before you know it, you’ll have a nice stockpile. I get free or almost free items a lot but do not count on that. It’s all about slow and steady. Hang in there, eventually you will see your savings increase.
