Friday is Mega Swagbucks day, that means that you should get more bucks today doing searches. Swagbucks is how I have paid for much of my kids Christmas the past few years by earning Swagbucks and redeeming them for Amazon gift cards.
Here are a few things to remember:
- You can only redeem 5 of the same prizes a month. I like to get the $5 Amazon gift cards, but I can only get 5 a month ($25) so I need to make sure I plan on being able to cash all those in by December.
- Swagbucks pays out or credits your Swag account with your gift cards 2x a month on the 1st and 17th. If I want to use my gift card for a certain date I need to make sure I cash my swagbucks in ahead of time or I might not get them in time.
- All I have to do when my Amazon gift card is credited is go to my Swagbucks account (click on your name at the top right), go to “my gift cards”, type in your password, then you will see your gift cards that you can redeem. Now I just go to Amazon, “my account” and then “add gift card”. Now I just copy and paste the code from Swagbucks and it is added to my Amazon account. Then when I shop at Amazon I have the option of using that gift card.
If you have not tried Swagbucks it is not too late to earn some before Christmas, you can see some tips HERE and HERE on how to earn Swagbucks.

Hey Tiffany,so instead of accumulating all of your points to get bigger prize (that takes longer),you just purchase (5)$5 gift cards/month all year long and then redeem them in time to use for Christmas? And a Q about the 1st/17th….if I plan on using my gift cards like you,for Xmas..do I “purchase”as many gift cards as I can now and just have them on reserve on my Amazon account,or do I need to “purchase” them from SB within a few weeks of when I plan on using them? Thanks

Yes Sara, The only GC I really want are the Amazon ones because that is my Christmas cash. So yes pretty much every time I get 450 Swagbucks I cash mine in. Sometimes I have more then 5 worth and then I might get a $25. I usually have about $400 or so for Christmas just sitting in my Aamzon account by December. They don’t expire in your Amazon account so they can sit there.

I couldn’t wait until Christmas, lol. I bought myself a book already. I like to leave SBTV open and just let videos play. If I don’t have the sound on, it isn’t distracting – but it is harder to tell when I have finished one. I’ve learned some pretty neat things by watching the DIY channel and the food network channel. Every 10 videos = 3 SB, and I think the max is around 72 a day just with SBTV.
