I tried the Frigo Cheese deal a week ago at my local WalMart. You have to read the coupon, it says any 1 pkg (10oz or larger).
I did the gillette body wash deal at the Kroger in Kingwood and the $4 was not coming off this morning. I caught it and the manager fixed it but then said I couldn’t use my coupons because the item was on sale. And then said the coupon manufactures put coupons out only for use on non sale price items!!! And Kroger would not get paid if I used that coupon. I thought you’ve got to be kidding me! So I polietly told her coupons can be used on a sale item and if I’m smart enough to put that sale and a coupon together to get something for free yay me! And yes you will get paid.. $2.00 plus handling…I swear the managers make stuff up, because they have no clue! Sorry for the long rant but this is the 2nd time in 2 days I’ve had to deal with this stuff!
Oh man! That might be one of the more dumb things a manager has said! You handled that very well!
But I got 7 body washes, a box of Tampax tampons, and a box of milk duds(for my 4 yr old being so good during all this stuff!) for $5.08…so my advice is stand your ground when you know you are right 🙂

Thanks Tiffany! Then on Monday at Randall’s I was told by the cashier and the lady in line behind me I was stealing from Randalls because I was getting Wishbone salad dressing for .19! The story is longer but you get where this was going. Needless to say I told them my thoughts (I wasn’t as nice that time!) and walked out with 3 bottels of .19 ranch 🙂
Really? That stuff never happens to me anymore and I wish it would, honestly and not you guys. I would be able to handle that very well 🙂 It sounds like you are, but I remember a time that would have left me in tears.
It hasn’t happened to me in months, I’ve been couponing a while, so no tears for me 🙂 (we came to your aug 20th class I was one of the 2 ladies talking to you at the end of class about how our walmart rocks at price matching store brands, like 1 gallon milk 1.49) just makes me so mad how close minded people are. I went to target to use my coupons with items from the travel section, based on the ideas from this site. The lady told me I couldnt use them all, I asked to speak to the manager. The manager said I couldnt use any of the coupons for travel items. I pointed out that it said “any” and no where did it say “exclude travel items”. She refused to let it slide, and I left Target not wanting them to get my buisness. How do you deal with this? What do I do? The next day I went to walmart adn attempted again and used them all =)
I would call corporate and ask them what to do. You can get clarification if they take them on travel size or not.
