I just got back from Walgreens and this deal worked SWEET!!! In fact, my whole “plan” worked perfectly today. Yay! I love when that happens
My Walgreens did not accept both manufacturer’s and store coupons because the store coupon rang in as a manufacturer coupon. They wanted me to purchase two more items (any) to add in my manufacturer coupons. Manager suggested 39 cent candies which reduced my manufacturer coupon values. ????
Always hand over the mfq first then the store coupon. I think that is what happened.
The $.39 candy would have been your filler. I had to use a filler as well and I added a folder for $.11
I have had this problem a number of times at Walgreens. The “store” coupons with a “5” in the UPC on the coupon are actually treated as mfg coupons. I was told I could not use the coupon in the August book and a second mfg coupon, no matter what order I handed them over. Is this not right? I’ve been told this by two different managers at the same store.

Walgreens at research and gosling refuses to sell 2 cottonelle tp so I couldnt get the deal. The manager said an email was sent to him stating 1 per person…bogus 🙁
The one on 242 will let you buy 2!
The one at Research Forest and Kuykendahl will let you buy more than 1. I was there this morning picked up 3.
Also, they had some makeup on clearance for some good filler items. Both walgreens I went to had them by the cosmetics register, eyeliners for as low as 17 cents!

My walgreens had a sign that said limit 1 but I got 2 and went to my favorite cahsier in cosmetics. I also could not use my coupons if I used the coupon out the book she tried useing mg first and then the book and still didnt work but it was still a good deal…thanks for the post.
Picked me up 3 packages of the toliet paper. Used two .50/1 and one .75/1 as well as the Aug $1 off coupon, and got my $4.50 catalina. Thanks for the tip.
