How The Litter Robot Saved My Life!

Okay…  maybe not my LIFE – but definitely my sense of smell!

If you’ve been following me on Facebook, you probably think of me as a bonafide crazy cat lady.  But despite all my recent cat wrangling (and even having a blog named MyLitter) – I actually spent my whole life NOT being a cat person.  I’ve always been allergic to them and never particularly wanted to own one….  That all changed however when earlier this year we took on three rescues, one after the other, and I fell in love.❤

But then the smell of litter boxes entered our lives….

I could smell it EVERYWHERE.  Even when noone else in the house could smell it, I was paranoid that people coming by would walk in the door and be hit in the face by the odor.  Three cats worth of litter was making me crazy!

So I started asking the advice of friends and a surprising number of them messaged me about their secret weapon – the Litter Robot.  They said it was worth every penny and had made a HUGE difference in their homes.

I decided to take the plunge!  When our Litter Robot arrived it took only 5 minutes out of the box to get it set up.  I set it up near the old litter box to see if the cats would take to it – and from day one they had a new favorite bathroom.  They stopped using the old box immediately and waited in line for the Litter Robot!

And the smell?  OH MY GOSH Y’ALL.  It’s GONE!!!

I literally can’t smell anything unless I’m RIGHT up on the Litter Robot.

It’s super easy to clean too – which everyone in the house loves….  You just pull out the tray at the bottom, tie up the bag that holds the litter, and toss in the trash.  Put on a new bag, slide it in, and you’re ready to roll!

You don’t have to use any kind of special cat litter, as long as it’s the clumping kind.  And from what my friends have told me, over time you’ll really save money on cat litter because you have to use so much LESS of it.

And if you have to have multiple litter boxes in your home for multiple cats?  Well the Litter Robot can handle up to 4 cats – without multiple boxes hidden everywhere around your house.  That’s AMAZING!

Overall – I will say that while the Litter Robot is an investment, it’s an investment that is COMPLETELY worth it to me.   Since I know we will have cats in our family for a long time to come, not being able to smell their litter boxes is going to make me a very happy woman.  🙂
