Walgreens isn’t my favorite store, but I did alright today…
They have some good deals on their school supplies this week and I was glad to see that they were fully stocked! I went to the Walgreens by Super Target in Spring.
I am trying to do all my school supply shopping for under $30 for all 4 kids in school. I am going to make it I think!
I loaded up all on the .09 cent and .19 cent items.
I was really happy to see Chinet paper plates were Buy one for $2.99 get one FREE. I used the $1.00 off coupons from last weeks paper to get 12 packs of nice paper plates for $0.50 each. See picture below…
Also, the Physicians Formula makeup was marked down 75% to 80% off. I really like the mineral makeup but usually it is so expensive I never get any. I loaded up today using my $1.00 coupons. Most items were $1.99 to $3.59 on clearance minus my coupon, they were a steal!
My younger sisters babysit for me on occasion, half the time I pay them in makeup and shaving items! I load them up when they leave! They love it!
Be careful that you don’t over spend on school supplies. It is easy to do when everything is on sale at the drugstores. I found Walmart to be the cheapest almost always for school stuff. I went at the beginning of the season and wrote down the prices there to make sure I don’t just buy something somewhere else because it is on sale, Walmart is still cheaper overall for school supplies. I was picky about what I got at Walgreens.
So my total before coupons was $261.24. Minus clearance items and Walgreens sales I saved $189.04
Minus manufacturers coupons I saved another $33.00

The resident Labradoodle, Miller got his name because Mom won and got to name the baby! Need something chewed up? He'll take care of it. Especially if it's expensive..
