We have been in Oxford AL for the past few days helping Collin, from Hip2Save with her Hip2Help tour. I will report more on that later, but it has been a really fun last few days. Very HOT, but a lot of fun!
As we headed out this morning we were running low on formula for the little one, at our first gas stop I ran into the Walgreens across the street to get her some.
** I took this picture when we got back into the car, notice my husbands Coke can? I think it is physically impossible for him to drive any distance without a Coke. Remember our Spring Break trip a few years ago when he strapped the 24-pack of Coke on the back of the car because he was worried they would only have Pepsi in Arkansas? Oh the memories!
** Also, I should do a post on the electronics set up I have going in the front seat! NASA would be proud. I could launch a space shuttle from here!
This is the deal that I did (I had no coupons with me :()
Transaction #1
2 EOS Lip Balm (love these!) 2 for $6
1 GUM Super Toothbrushes $2.00
1 Walgreens Womans Razor $3.99
Total: $11.99
Got Back: $8 in Register Rewards
Transaction #2
1 Enfamil Toddler Formula $19.99
5 Mini Snickers (I bought these as fillers) $.15 each
Used $2 Walgreens In-Store coupon for Enfamil
Used $8 in Register Rewards from previous purchase
Total: $8.74
I spent $20.76, if I just walked in and bought the formula I would have spent $19.99, by doing 2 transactions and rolling the RR onto the next transaction I basically got the lip balm, toothbrushes and razor for free. Even without having any coupons you can still “shop smart” and save a little money or at least get a few things for free!

i did 2 transactions this morning at walgreens and the cashier told me starting next week that they would not allow multiple transactions anymore. she said they run out of product so quickly that they are starting this to give other customers a chance for the bargains. she did say that i could come in on different days and buy the same things. i asked if it would change in their Q policy and she didn’t think so but the manager told her that “we have the right to limit the quantity of items purchased” to make sure there is sufficient product for other customers

The Walgreens at Research Forest and I-45 just posted a new policy also stating that they reserve the right to limit quantities purchased to allow other to have the opportunity to take advantage of the same savings. I will post a picture the next time I am in there.

All the others ones in the area are doing the same thing. I am o.k. with it, as long as they are fair to everyone and don’t let the cashiers do what they want with their friends…. They don’t have the inventory to allow for shelf clearers.

Our Walgreens does the samething however since I past it on my way home from work, I can stop by as many times a week as need. Usually 1 or 2 times does it for me. Unfortunely our dollar tree store has put a limit on newspapers (3) and that hurts worst…lol.

I feel ya PAUL. Coke is a must have. But, @Tiff… at least he has the coke can to drink from. If i don’t watch it, my hubby spits his snuff in mine. UGHHH. I want to strangle him every time. And then he says “OH, were you drinking that?” REALLY ?? lol
Tina says
Which items were the ECBs from please?
Tiffany says
I got the Register Rewards from the toothbrushes $2, razor $4, and EOS lip balm $4.

Well imagine drinking Dr Pepper! Not every place carries THAT! And cruise ships – yeah, I have to carry a couple 12-pks in board with me. Lol.

I bought the razor and floss for the first transaction. I got 2 RR. Tried to use both on next transaction w/3 manuf. cpn. They said only 4 cpns. are allowed. I got another RR on the second transaction. Tried to use 2RR on another branch for one detergent but they said only one is allowed 🙁
Tiffany says
RR count as coupons, so if you have 2RR and 1 coupon on your next transaction you need to have 3 items. That is why I bought the little $.15 candies so that i could use the RR. I need to do a video on it to explain it, it can be confusing.

Please tell us about your electronics. I want to go on a (very, very) long road trip but still want the use of our cell phone, mp3, maybe a small laptop or notebook, etc. Do tell!
