Thanks so much to Amber D. who finds the best deals and takes great pictures!
Amber had a great trip to CVS. At her store she found the Tylenol Precise marked down to $3.99, BUT when they rang up they were only $1.99! She had the $5 coupons to get a bunch of overage!!
This was her deal:
2 Tylenol Pain Relieving Patches $1.99
3 Six pack Dr. Pepper $7.50
Coupons used:
2 $5.00 Tylenol Precise coupon
Total before coupons: $11.48
Total after coupons: $1.48
Got back: $1.00 RR for my Green Tag

what store was this?
Beth Kidd says
That is nice. However, this is not the norm. CVS typically will reduce the coupon down to the value of the item. I wouldn’t count on being able to do this deal, but if you are able to–then awesome.

I have not had CVS adjust down the coupon. They do face value in my experience, since that is what they are getting reimbursed for.
Corina says
My CVS adjusts the coupon down too when I buy an item that has been marked lower than what the coupon value is.. I am bummed about it.
Yulia Rathgeber says
My CVS had them for $1.99 as well. I did my CVS shopping today and saw it that price.
Rosa says
New to couponing what is a green tag and where does one get it at?
Tiffany says
You can buy it at the CVS register for $1. Then scan it once a day, after 4 scans they give you $1 ECB. It is to encourage you to bring your own grocery bag.
Beth says
Just did this deal- woohoo! Worked like a charm! Thank you, thank you, to whoever spotted this one. Love working with overage!
Kimberly says
Seen this and bought out 7 only of the leg neck and body thats all that was reduced and they didnt give me overage only reduced the coupon down to clear out the balance …no money maker for me but still:)
mary says

Tiffany says
It was last Sundays paper and expires I think tomorrow!

Tried to do this one today; however, both CVS and Rite Aid (which would have been just free) were out of them. Wish I would have thought of doing this in the beginning of the week.

You can find it online. http://www.precisepainrelief.com/coupon

CVS has always adjusted down my coupons, the register beeps so they have to adjust it or override it somehow.
karina says
i was lucky to find the tylenol at the same deal ,but i used my overage to pay for the 5 bottles of Xtra detergent on which i had $1/1 coupons and it was on sale for $1,49:)
Xina says
Bummed that my CVS in St Petersburg FL didn’t have them on sale ๐ They were the normal $7.99 price. Where are you guys located where the price is on sale?
Kim says
So i went to walmart to price match these i took in my ad from rite aid for $5 with my card they told me i could only price match one item and then told me i could get it for that price but wouldnt allow me to do the $5 off coupon for it. was this wrong i cannot find it in any price match poilicy that you can only price match “1” item and not use a coupon. I had the card for rite aid someone please help!
Tiffany says
No that is NOT true at all. There is no limit!! Where are you located? Call corporate that goes completely aganist what is in their price matching policy. Go to pauls site and print the policy off and take it with you.
namfon says
i got that tylenol precise fom wallmart for $0.97 because at wall mart they are sale it for only $5.97 so i got it for $0.97 + tax only.
namfon says
i live in IL murphysboro at my wall mart they didn’t say anything like that so i got 5 coupons and i got 5 precise items last night.
Dianne says
Yeah i THINK the closest CVS is on a high-traffic St, so I decided not to go, just on the off chance they actually had the patchs. I let 5 of the coupons expire! ๐ I coulda got them at Walmart it’s true but I didn’t want to pay fir something I’ll probably never use. I did manage to get 4. I don’t think we have rite aid here. Maybe if I had come to this site earlier, lol!
