With purchase of 10 that total would be $5.00. But since you bought 10 and it is a participating item would you get $5 back making the total $0 or is the $5 total the final price. Make sense?

The 10/$10 items that are included in the mega event works like this: you have to purchase 10 qualifying items to get $5 back. The cash register automatically takes the $5 off at checkout so your cost would be $5 which equals 50 cents each.
Food Fair has Velveeta on sale for $2.99. You could price match at Walmart or Target and then use the printable. 🙂

Yes but it is a pain in the a**, you have to check out and then take everything to the service desk and have them refund you the difference.
