I have never had a massage before. Ever. When the people at Massage Envy contacted me and asked that if I wanted to get a massage to review, I thought I would give it a try!
In the past I have been hesitant to go because I didn’t know what to expect. Plus I am pretty modest and wasn’t sure what to do once I was there… Weird I know.
When you first walk in your are greeted at the front desk and fill out paperwork. Massage Envy is a chain that allows you to become a member and get a discounted rate each time you come back. Typically about $20 off.
I really liked the way they asked me so many questions and matched me with the right massage therapist. I felt like they really took the time to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. The massage itself is 50 minutes long and I think I might have possibly fallen asleep 🙂
The only negative thing about the experience was the room I was in was in the very front of the facility and the staff was so loud in the break room I know exactly what everyones plans are for the weekend….
Houston area Massage Envy Spas have a $99 Valentine’s Day Gift Card Offer – Give your Valentine the choice of a combination of services valued at more than $180 that can include massage sessions with sugar foot scrubs, or a healthy skin facial. I’m 35 years old and have never ever had a professional massage. I always think of everybody else over myself. Hopefully someday I’ll get the chance to papmer myself 🙂
I love massages but can’t afford professional ones. Two kids can be exhausting and a momma needs a break every now and then. 🙂
I would love to get a massage and fall asleep too.
Too many years since I’ve had a massage.
Time to feel relaxed
Thanks for the review! I still wouldn’t do it myself, but that’s cool that you got to try it.
I’ve never had a professional massage, but I love the human contact/touch element. The warmth, relaxation, and just soothing atmosphere of a massage are dreamy – and that’s just from that at home one I can swindle out of my fiancé! Can’t imagine what a real one would be like!!
I have had a few massages and I love the relaxed feeling afterwards. If I win, I’d pass this on to my husband who has never had a massage but suffers from back and hip pain from several surgeries.
My husband never gets any time with the family because he has to work 12hrs at the dealership financing cars for. I appreciate what he does for us in making sure that we have a strong happy family. I want to do something special for him. This would be great and we’ll deserving.
I’ve never have had massage but sure can use one after having a baby a few months ago.
I like massages because at those moments you are relaxed and thinking how good it feels to relax and not think about anything and have your muscles worked on.
I love how relaxing they are. They refresh me. Its like coming out a new fresh me. Its so easy to let go of everything while in such a peaceful state. Its been a few years since in have been because of the price but I will say it is worth every penny.
I have only had one massage my entire life and now I have recently graduated, am a teacher and a new mom. I need all these toxic knots squished out of me!
I run a lot and it’s great for working out muscles that get really tight and overworked.
I am a chauffeur to 3 kids and always on the run taking them from one activity to the next. I rarely have a time to myself so an hr away from the chaos would be wonderful
I’m a stay at home mom to a very active 3 year old boy…and I’m 7 months pregnant with baby boy #2. I need a prenatal massage!
I love getting up from the table and just feeling so relaxed!! So much tension is released!! 15min. massage was part of my chiropractor session.(bulging disk and one leg is shorter than the other) Last one was over 2 years and I’ve only dreamed of one since! Hmm..I know my husband could also use it he’s never had one. I would love to show him my appreciation for all he does to help me with our 3 kids, especially our 4 yr old special needs child, Smith-Magenis Syndrome.
My new years resolution was to lose weight and eat healthy just like everyone else. This year was different–I wrote down my goals and I have stayed committed. I ran the Houston Half Marathon on January 19th and a month later after continuing to workout my body is still not recouped. It would be extremely delightful to let someone massage all these knots out and relax for the first time this year.
I’ll be 37 on the 23rd. I’ve never had a massage before and would love to take my 16 year old Daughter, so we could enjoy it together.
~Fingers Crossed!
Im also really modest so I see how that could be weird but it would be awesome to try! Getting my husband to message my back is like pulling teeth. Im currently moving from Spring, Tx to Brookshire, tx while juggling my 2 year old. It would be amazing to be able to relax for once!
I would really like to win the massage to give it to my mother. Her birthday is this month and she is always so giving. My mother has never had a massage before but she is most definitely in need of one. I would like to see her relaxed and for her to see what it is like to be spoiled for once.
Working 830-530 at my F/T job.
Then head to my seasonal job 6-10 at H&R Block.
Still have to drive my 17 year old daughter back and forth to job interviews, try to make her games (she’s a cheerleader) and my stepson’s A.A.U. basketball games. ON top of keeping a clean house, food on the table and day to day life! Calgon or shall I say Massage Envy TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why would I like a free massage?!!! lol. OK. I’m the mother of 2 teens (enough said) …and 3 dogs… and I love FREE! Seriously, thanks for everything you and Paul do.
Only had a message once and it was so awesome! I have a bad neck and it made a big difference
I have never had one, but hear from EVERYONE how amazing and worth it massages are. I believe them, but just can not bring myself to purchase for myself. There always seems to be something else needful to use the “extra” money on 🙂
Ooooh I would love a massage! Its the only thing that really gets the knots out of my back and neck that i get from bending over my computer all day. I’ve only had a few massages in my life, but they were all heaven! Aaahhhhhh…..
A massage sounds like a dream come true right about now. A month ago we had to put one of our dogs to sleep unexpectedly. She just turned 6. All of us were devastated (I have 4 children.) Then a week ago our old lady dog was ready to go. She was 13 and had lived a good long life. Needless to say, a massage to rub the sorrows away would be great.
I’ve had a professional massage once before and it was HORRIBLE. They were extremely aggressive and left me sore for days. I would love to try again and hopefully have significantly better results. And with starting a new job, moving into a new home, and everyday issues I could use a little stress relief.
I would love to win this so I could gift it to my girlfriend. Hopefully I win
I would love to give this to a dear friend who has had more than her share of troubles.
Would love a massage never have had one but heard great things about it!
Over the last couple of years we’ve had several major health scares for our parents on both sides of the family which depleted us financially AND emotionally. That along with injuries to hubby which caused him to not work for over 3 months and me losing my job and everything else… sheesh… it’s been crazy. However, it will get better. It would be nice to get pampered for a change.
i’ve always heard that massage helps with auto-immune diseases & would love to find out, thanks
I never been but I would want it for my sister who has also never been. She helps me out when ever I need it and could use a message cause she often has back pain. Thank u for the chance!
i am not a big massage person, for some reason i get migraines after a massage. but i would like to win to give to a friend…i finally got my mother to get a mini one yrs and she loved it
I love getting a massage. I think it is something everyone can benefit from. My best friend is 35 and she is planning her wedding, and has been super stressed. She has never been married before, and after her mother died she did not think it was ever going to happen. She has been doing all the planning herself, while one a shoestring budget, which is not easy to do. She has never had a massage or even a pedicure… She needs this massage to relax and de-stress.
She would never do this for herself, as many of us women don’t put ourselves first. As her Maid of Honor my job is to make her feel special and help her as much as possible, and this would just be the icing on the (wedding) cake.
A chance to relax.
I love that it is a stress reliever for me! I get tension headaches and they apply the right amount of pressure!
would love a day just to relax
I have never had a professional massage before. I am a new mum and I would do anything for a day of relaxing massages!
