STOP. Whatever you are planning on making for dinner, if you have these 4 ingredients you HAVE to make these biscuits tonight!! I made these the other night and I am still a ROCK STAR with my family! They were AWESOME!! If you have a Popeye’s in your area these taste just like the biscuits from that drive-through!
I could seriously eat an entire pan with butter and jelly.
7 UP (or Sierra Mist) Biscuits
2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup 7-up
1/4 cup melted butter
Cut sour cream into biscuit mix, add 7-Up. Makes a very soft dough.
Sprinkle additional biscuit mix on board or table and pat dough out. Melt 1/4 cup butter in a 9 inch square pan. Place cut biscuits in pan and bake at 450 degrees until golden brown.

I cooked these last week and we loved them. Very Easy!
Can you make these with diet soda?
I am not sure, I think you could, it is the carbonation that is important I believe? Anyone know for sure??
They look so inviting. I am so making them. Thanks for the recipe.
Melissa
So you just melt the butter, then place the dough in the pan on it? No mixing the butter in it?
Yes, that is right, although I mixed a little butter in the dough, but it really goes onto the bottom.
This is AWESOME! I have been looking for a SIMPLE recipe and *{Poof}* here one is! Thank YOU! Making for Dinner this evening! after I coupon of course ๐
I think I will try these tonight…
These biscuits sound yummy! I wonder if I can make them with my Bob’s Red Mill buttermilk biscuit mix? hmmm…. ๐
Tiffany, would other biscuit mixes work? I have some Jiffy biscuit mix that I use all the time….
I am not sure I have not tried it ๐
thanks will try need some bisquick!!
I dont bake so what do you mean when you say “Cut sour cream into biscuit mix”?? Also am I just making one whole pan and cutting them into squares when I am done baking?
I think it means fold mix over sour cream, over and over again. Stirring it just kind of moved sour cream around. At least that was my experience when I made them for 1st time 2 days ago. I wasn’t sure about whole pan or cutting out biscuits so I just made whole pan and cut into squares after done. My family loved it (even my most picky eater) so I’m making again tonight. : ) Happy eating.
Mine were not so fluffy. What’s the problem? (I want nice fluffy biscuits)
I will have to give these a go with my carbquick (sorry, I’m a low carber) and diet 7-up. I love Popeye’s biscuits, so I will prolly love these!
Did you ever make then with the carb quick how did they turn out
Made these for dinner tonight and my whole family loved them!!! Thank you for a quick, easy and delicious recipe! My husband said “Thank you SO very much!”
Can’t wait for dessert as we are having “Better than…” cake tonight. I’m thinking of a name of the cake for our family…
I made these with Gluten Free Bisquick. They were great! I didn’t read the directions until after they were in the oven so I mixed the butter in. I needed them to cook quickly so I made them “drop” biscuit style. I cooked them at 400 for 11 minutes. I am so happy to find an egg and wheat free biscuit.
Tried these tonight they were so yummy. thanks so much for the recipie
I made these this week with store brand bisquik and diet sierra mist. Oh *My *Word. These are really light fluffy, tasty and really easy. This is a keeper recipe. Thank you, thank you.
Tiffany,
Can you tell me how many servings this recipe makes? I am wondering if I need to double it. Thanks
Wowza! These are so good! So good, in fact, that we just had them for dinner by themselves with jam/honey (and I decided to make a second pan). I used Diet Ginger Ale because my mother left some at my house last time she visited. I can’t stand to drink the stuff, but it worked perfectly for these biscuits. Thanks for another super yummy recipe!
These are delicious! I used Carbquik instead of Biscquick and lemon-flavored La Croix instead of 7-Up. They turned out light and fluffy, no crumbling like the Carbquik biscuits normally do.
