Hello, There is a Foodarama near my house and they have at least two good coupon match ups this week. One from RP 10/23, $1 off BarS Smoked Sausage 2.5 lb. They are at Foodarama for $2.99 making them $1.99. Also, they have a store coupon for half gallon Blue Bell for $3.99. You can go to the Blue Bell website and print a $1.00 off coupon making that $2.99.

Oh gosh! I dont have a lot. Shipping can get so expensive, I mostly use the flat rate boxes and pack them full! I also ship direct from the company so I can save no shipping that way.

Our organization competes every year with various agencies to build a “can struction” project to benefit our local food bank. We must build something with a theme and utilize non-perishable items i.e. canned goods, cereal, spaghetti, etc. I recently got a hold of several coupons for Libby’s canned veggies but wished I knew at the time they would go on sale. fisher price coupons…good deal on the fisher price big action construction site. 39.99 at toys r us, or ad match at wal-mart. $10 off makes it 29.99.
I did not see any mention of this, but at our Kroger they have certain 4.6oz Crest Toothpaste for $1.00. If you take the .50 or .75 off coupon any Crest toothpaste 4.0 oz or larger it will double up to the dollar and you can get it free. I should have taken a picture but as just so excited about the deal. If I go back I will try for a picture. Thanks for all you do!

I wasn’t sure if you knew that Family Dollar is going to be featured on the Nov. 9 episode on TLC. In preparation for the upcoming show they are training ALL of their employees on their coupon policy, which each member has to acknowledge on or before Nov. 9. Family Dollar’s coupon policy is available on-line. They accept_ manufacture, internet & mobile coupons, which you can stack with their in store coupons. I just wanted to let you know…. the Hormel deal at Walmart is not as good as going to Kroger! I went to Kroger tonight and they had the Hormel Chili on sale for $.77 a can!! Much cheaper than the $1.28 at Walmart!
Hey Tiffany- just wanted to pass along a great diaper deal at HEB. These prices are for Port Lavaca, TX HEB. Pampers box diapers $16.97 each, there is a $4/1 yellow “B” coupon for each, stack that with the $2/1 Pampers 10/30 P&G manufacturer. But it gets better, buy 2 = $33.94 use the 2- $4/1 yellow coupons, stack with the 2- $2/1 P&G’s =$21.94 then get the $10 Catilina for buying $30+ in P&G! It’s “like paying” $11.94 for 2 or $5.97 each + it’s rolling!

I found an awesome deal today at target. This week they have the Elefun ball popper toy on sale for $20.99. If you subscribe to their coupons that they text you once a month they had one for $5 more dollars off. This made the toy only $15.99. I didn’t think that was a bad price for a $30 toy that is considered to be one of the “Hot Toys” this Christmas.
I clicked on the BUSCH GARDENS link and it says on their website that FREE ENTREE for ACTIVE (Veterans) or active reserves.
I had this issue with Sea World and some other parks… I went to Iraq for about a year then I got out soon I returned… Because I didn’t have an active DOD / Military ID (Because I was no longer active) I MISSED OUT on getting in FREE to the parks =(

I noticed that on a couple of your match ups for Food Town your math is a little off. I just purchased the Kellogs cereal I picked up two boxes were I used a Food Town coupon for $1 and an MFC $1 for 2 at $1.99 a box that would make to cereal .99 a piece. and the Diced tomatos are 3 for a dollar with a .75 coupon would that not leave you paying .25.

hi! I am getting a bit more familiar with your site/facebook page. I wanted to share that we have a Golden Retriever named Miller….that I too, named and yep, he’s destroyed remote controls, 2 pair of prescription glasses, part of a golf cart (don’t ask!), ate part of the carpet in our bedroom(don’t ask!), shoes, and last but not least….stuffed animals that are not his!

The newsletter email only go out once a day, there are so many deals right now you will have to stop by the site. I can’t send them out anymore than once a day or people get upset there is so many emails. Some deals are time sensitive, so while there are so many right now, just visit the site directly a few times a day!

I am having lots of problems with items I ordered. I ordered electronic skins voucher from savemore, never got the item from electronic skins. I paid for a CVS voucher, got the voucher, but the URL goes no where to redeem. I have called many times and either no answer or I get we are sorry, your call cannot be completed at this time from BOTH savemore and electronic skins. My order from Totsy I ordered Nov 4th and do not have yet and their wait time is 60 minutes to answer the phone. What is going on??
Totsy, does take that long to get things from. If you check your account you can see the tracking number and where your order is at. AS far as Savemore goes you can read my comment above. They are horrible an I would try and get your money back from from what you used to pay for it. I am posting about it tomorrow, the last time I posted anything negative about them they threatened to sue me. But a number of us have gotten together and are posting about them tomorrow. I successfully got my money back from paypal through them.

I have been out of work since June of this year. What I have learned from yours and Paul’s sites has been a blessing. I’ve been married for 26 years and have raised 4 boys (2 still at home). I’ve saved more in the last year than I have before. I thought I was doing good to save 20-25% when I shopped. Now my average savings is 40% or better.
I started to stock pile before I was laid off and we’ve been living off that and replinishing a little at a time. We’ve also been able to make donations to the food bank, the school with supplies and helping a few friends who are out of work too.
Every time I post a comment on yours or Paul’s site I was say thank you for all that you both do. Keep up the GREAT work and God Bless you both for all that have done. I hope Paul wins the Sally contest.

Hi. Just referred to your site…I live in Conroe & was wondering how to identify if our stores double/triple coupons? None advertise & most have said “no” but who is the real authority on that? We have an HEB, Walmart and Kroger. Would it vary by store location? I suspect I’d need something in print for the checkers…but have not seen this in printed store policy. Randalls tripples I think up to .35 ..if you don’t mind the drive you can catch awesome deals at hodge’s food basket. 45 @ woodlands Pkwy right past the old Sam’s boat. I found 2 hot deals with their current ad. Trappey black eyed peas, on sale 3/$2 they will tripple the matching . 50 coupon which you get $1.50 off so you pay .50 for 3 canned goods. This same sale has green jiant green beans or corn. 3/$2 less your .50 coupon which they will tripple makes 3 more canned goods for .50.. this store tripples the first coupon and only doubles the second
12/15 At Target/Conroe, the Enfagrow Premium double container of formula has a temporary price cut to $16.99. Target sent out $3 off Enfamil Premium coupons in the mail and if you have the manufacturer coupon for $5 (got these from a rep after I had a baby), you can get $8 off like me this morning! Also, be sure to look in there meat dept. They had in there freezer section (by turkeys, hams, etc.) large packages of pulled pork for like $4-5 (normal $16?), and frozen bratwurst/italian sausages for less than $3 (normal $8) and these were clearanced…no coupons needed!!! Several cereals (Cheerios) and there brand of cocoa pebbles all for $1.77-1.88 clearanced with no coupons needed.

Always make sure to ask at your Drs office. I got so many good coupons and always free samples from them! Also check coupons.com occasionally, they have $1 off right now. Make sure to contact Similac directly and ask them for coupons as well!

I had an interview off of the Beltway this morning. I stopped at Food Town on my way back to pick up an ad to PM at Wal-mart.
They had a 3 pack of Peter Pan peanut butter for $3.99, that’s $1.33 a jar. Unfortunately that was not in the ad. What was in the ad is the 1.25 liter of coke products for .89 cents. This would be a good item to PM at Wal-mart. Not sure if it would be a MM if you still have the 99 cent coke zero q. I plan to PM, purchase some pringles and use the P&G q from 1/1/12
I just seen where Kmart has their Bayer asprin for $2.49. I have afew coupons for $1.00 to $2.00 off. Also i seen your post on the Scotch Brite wipes and Nabisco crackers, they are great deals. Even better i have coupons for B1G1F on both of them. Thanks for all the hard work and time you put in to keep us up to date on all the great deals. I have been couponing for acouple of months now and already have a nice lil stock pile. I have also cut my grocery bill in half. I use to spend at least $300 every two weeks on groceries & household items. I now spend $150 OR LESS for the two weeks plus have alot more in the cabinets!
Another great deal i found. Family Dollar has a coupon for 2 liter coke products for .85 cents. I plan on taking advantage of that great deal and beings i drink Coke Zero im going to use my .99 cent off any Coke Zero product coupons to make it a MONEY MAKER!

My taco salad recipe for you to try if you want:
This is for about 4 ppl so you would probably have to double it.
1 lb ground beef
1 pkg taco seasoning
uncooked rice (about 3-4 handfuls depending on how much rice you want)
lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream, fritos, salsa and whatever else you want to add.
Brown the meat, drain, put back in pot, add taco seasoning and rice, pour enough water to cover slightly and bring to a boil then simmer until water is almost gone (want to have the meat mixture a little moist), or until rice is done. Make sure to stir occasionaly. When done to your liking, crunch fritos with your hand a little bit and put on a plate, add meat/rice mix, top with cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, salsa. Then crunch a few more fritos on top and enjoy some yumminess!!! Let me know if you try it and how it turns out.

I know that it is a regional thing but can you tell me how to get those coupons….I have tried subscribing to a paper that has them, but most of them will not deliver.

I too am out of work and have relied on the information I have gained from Tiffany and Paul, they really are a blessing. I usually go out Wed & Thurs to scout out the area stores for deals, then shop on Saturday.
Until the class I would suggest starting a price book. I shop at Randall’s and Hodge’s for the items that are either on sale or coupons (q’s) that will double or triple. I then try to price match what I can at Wal-mart and use higher value q’s.
Hodge’s Food Basket on the 45 N feeder also triples q’s up to 50 cents and will allow you 2 of the same items. Some of the freebies or near free I have gotten recently are the following:
Starkist Tuna pouch $1.49 free after 50 cent q from 1/1/12 Red Plum
2 pouches Pioneer pancake mix @ 69 cents each free after 50 cent q (sorry I do not know which insert this came in)
Near free
Sweet & Low $1.69 less $1.50 = .19 (this was on sale last week, do not know if still on sale) 50 cent q from 1/1/12 SS.
Hodge’s has specials on Saturday. Last week they had mushrooms for 99 cents which I used on my Meatless Monday and made Cream of Mushroom soup.
Finally – I shop for some of my produce at the 99 cent super store. 2 weeks ago they had bags of Bosc pears for 99 cents (5-6 count per bag). Last week was apples (7-8 count per bag) and portabella mushroom caps (1-2 per pack & used that in the soup too). 5# bag of potatoes and romaine lettuce.

It’s small but I have to share. I got 31 Nabisco products, 6 cans soup, 4 pnut butter, 3 cereal, 2 granola bars, 3 BC fruit snacks, 4 HHelper’s, & EVOO (no coupon). Original total $71.46 I paid w/tax $44.94. That’s 37%, right? My second store 4 Silk milks, 6 Wholly Guac 100 calorie pks, 4 Ken’s dressings (OOS), 4 deodorants, 2 dips, potatoes & 2 roasts (no q’s). Original total $45.82 I paid $31.82…another 30%, right? I know w/time, I’ll do even better. It’s awesome to walk out legally w/free to nearly free products when those come up–I don’t feel guilty @ all! Now that I can’t work & we are to one income for 5…this will help SO much. THANKS!

Just want to say Thanks for the twice-baked potato link you posted close to Christmas. I use homemade freezer food, but hadn’t tried these before. I made a big batch then –used some when we had relatives over and some later. These went over well with my kids and make a great lunch as well as a dinner side dish, so I am adding them to the list of freezer food we make!

I watched the extreme couponing contest the other night and my friends and I can not figure out how they get such great coupons and so many of them for the same product, is there something we are not seeing as to how to get these, I was amazed that they had 0 balance with an order over $6000. I would like to be able to save like that but for me I only get what my family will use and I refuse to be a shelf clearer, I think that is just rude of them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure where to post this. I have a question. I was at HEB today and noticed that they have the Revlon nail clippers for $0.89 and emery boards for $0.94. I had two Revlon Coupons for $1 off ANY lip or nail product. When I went to cash out, the cashier told me I couldn’t use the coupons. When I asked her about it she called the manager and he said that he would be able to take the coupon for the nail clipper but not the emery boards. I asked him why and he said because the emery boards don’t specifically state nail product on the package. BTW, I used two of the exact coupons at CVS for the $7 ECB deal without any problems (on actually the same exact products). What do you think? If it weren’t for this little hiccup, this would be an awesome deal!

I’ve noticed it on a couple of sites I follow and really appreciate that a group of sites/people are really trying to promote and support integrity in couponing. I just wanted to say that I really enjoy your site and your husbands as well. One minor thing I wanted to point out is that the more “extra’s”, usually advertising that keep being added to your site, the slower….or longer perhaps is better, it takes just to get moving on your site. I don’t have old computers and it still is a bit of a delay while “things” keep loading. Is there anyway to trouble shoot it and see if a certain code is incorrect or at a minimum could be tweeked to make sure the amount of wasted time, sitting and waiting for your initial page just to get active, could be minimized? Wanted to let you know I had a problem over the weekend with the 5.00 vitamin Q and the 2.00 fish oil Q at CVS. The cashier refused to take Qs on the BOGO free items. I called customer service over the weekend and they were closed so I called Monday. I got the cust service guy and explained my issue..he put me on hold and came back and said the cashier was correct in the way she did it. He pointed me to the CVS coupon policy on their website. I could not find the policy on CVS.com so i pulled it up on YOUR website and called back. I got a lady that went through the policy with me and agreed the cashier made a mistake and she put 7.00 ECB on my CVS card she says i can get from the coupon center next time I go in to account for my missed coupons. I went out on my lunch break today and found the right guard at Krogers (buffalo speedway and 59) on close out for 2.13 each.. used the printable coupon you told us about to get 3.00/2 and only paid $1.26 (0.63 each) not sure is this is the best deal but thought I’d share

The Kelloggs coupon 4/$4 does not work with the cereal Kroger has on sale this week for 50% off. The sizes does not match on all of the cereals that Kroger has on sale. You have to buy them at regular price.

I wanted to know if your Walgreens is printing out the RR when you use a manufacturing coupon. Couple of weeks ago Walgreens had Head & Shoulders on sale with RR. Used a coupon with the purchase and no RR was printed. The manager said Walgreens is in the process of changing their coupon and RR policy. Either one or the other, unless printed in the flyer for that week. Didn’t know if this is just a New York policy change or is anyone else having the same problem?
The other question I have is how do you calculate your savings percentage? Walgreens and some other stores print it right on the receipt but for the ones that don’t. Someone told me Total paid divided by Total saved. Another say’s Add total saved plus total paid, than divide by Total paid. Could you please help me with this one.

I am no longer a rookie, but have been couponing for less than a year. I have a question for you on sunscreen. I started couponing around June-July last year, and I saved a lot of $1 off coupons for sunscreen. I figured I would save them for an end of summer clearance, but that clearance never came. I get sun poisoning very easily and spent about $100 on sunscreen last summer for my boyfriend and myself. I wasn’t really utilitzing reinchecks last year, so I will be ready if they are sold out when I go shopping again. I noticed sunscreen is buy one get one free this week at riteaid, which is better than any sale I saw last year (didn’t start looking til after June-July). So I am tempted to utilitze the B1G1 sale, but don’t have any coupons. Is there an optimum time to buy sunscreen? Since I won’t need the sunscreen for a few months, I have time to wait for a sale/coupon matchup, I am just wondering if that is common for sunscreen.

Hey I ordered those protein bars from The Clymbe the other day you posted about. We LOVE them but….and maybe this is just secluded incident or something but today I had like 6 weird charges hit my checking account (almost $2000 total) and only thing I can relate it to is that purchase from that web site. Now these charges were from world wide place ie Japan, Canada, New Jersey, Ohio just all over the place. I am not saying that The Clymbe isnt a top notch site but just beware to anyone purchasing online.

only two charges actually cleared my account. the other 4 were flagged so it got caught before it got otta hand thank goodness! and my money was refunded to me. they cancelled my cards and are re-issuing cards. none of the charges showed up from the clymbe it actually was web hosting sites. that was just the only place i had done online purchasing from in over a month. it is so crazy that things can get so otta control so quickly. and i do almost all my christmas shopping from online. lol lol makes me scared to buy anything now!
I live in Kentucky, where we was just was hit really hard with Tornado’s on Friday 03-02-12. If there is anyway that you or if you know anyone that can help the victims of this tragic event. The places that where hit the worst are West Liberty, Kentucky- Saylersville, Kentucky, and Paintsville, Kentucky.. There are different locations that are taking items that are donated.. I dont even know if you could help, but maybe if you can just get the word out that maybe the ones that was hurt the worst, could start to get their lives back to normal.. – Thank you so much.

I have a big problem I seem to get great deals at CVS but cant seem to get the big savings like i do there at the grocery stores. Coupons are limited to internet and we only get smart source in our paper. No one doubles coupons and the store coupons half the time don’t go with current coupons. Please if anyone has Ideas on how to boost my saving in the state of Nevada it would help out allot!! So frustrated.
Hello. I wanted to share something that I came across at my WAGS today. On clearance they have a bunch of wall, desk and pocket calendars. They are priced at $2.26. Inside those calendars are a bunch of WAGS in store coupons ranging from Kellogs cereal coupons to Post It coupons. Since they are WAGS, obviously they can be combines w/MFG coupons as well.
They have several different types of calendars with the coupons in them. You can get one with pictures of lighthouses, cats, beaches, flowers whatever so there are plenty of different kinds. The main thing is the coupons in them. It is put out by MEAD but it says on the front WALGREENS EXCLUSIVE COUPON CALENDAR and they are mixed in with some that DO NOT have the coupons in them so make sure you find one that says it’s the coupon calendar.

Hi Tiffany, I see that boneless, skinless chicken breasts are on sale at Joe V’s beginning today. This is a Houston based store and I print the add and take it to Walmart on Sawdust. They also have great prices on produce – like .47 for salad tomatoes, .97 for 5 lb potatoes, and .33 lb for yellow onions! Their website is joevsmartshop.com.

I live in College Station, TX approx 100 miles from Houston. Here our Krogers store still doubles and triples coupons. I had a similar problem that Vanesta had. I planned a shopping trip to benefit our local food bank and wanted to demonstrate this to others to get them on board with doing a group donation from our church. I pre-ordered 175 boxes of Yakisoba noodles among other items and used 175 $0.50 off coupons. The noodles were priced at $0.89 each. I thought that the boxes would generate enough overage for 49 packs of spaghetti they had on sale this week for $0.39. I planned on spending less than $6 on this trip but ended up spending $28…. Still not bad but not what I had planned. I didn’t talk to the cashier or manager about this. I wanted to check with you first. What do you advise I do? Is it correct?

Yes I read the coupon policy but thought it only pertained to printable coupons. What happened @ checkout:

-0.50 off manufacturer coupon
-0.39 bonus coupon (didn’t double completely)
=free product but no $0.11 overage I was counting on.
I’ve experienced overage before but not w/doubling @ Krogers so I’m not sure what changed. It was when the Olay bath soap was $4.99 & Secret on sale for $1. I had $2 off secret w/purchase of Olay $ 4 off Olay soap. The combined coupons made it free.
So I am really bummed. My Ralph’s here doubled all manuf. coupons and as many as you wanted, but are now only taking them at face value. They are also doing away with the reward certificates that amounted to over an additional 10% savings for us. They said on lieu of double coupons and reward certificates, they are lowering prices across the board. I am skeptical. Did you find that they lowered prices at all, and if so, enough to offset the loss of double coupons and the reward certificates?

Hi Tiffany….My Kmart, in Edgewater, MD has all childrens winter coats and snowpants for $4.99. All the winter clothes are $1.99 or .99 each. I am just getting serious with couponing and took your class in Katy last week and got some really valuable information. Thanks! I have however been watching meat prices for awhile as you don’t get coupons for meat unless you have a coupon for a certain amount off of your bill if you buy a certain amount (Kroger does this alot). I usually try to stay under $2/lb. except for hamburger, steaks and fish and try not to pay over $4/lb. for steaks. But, I wanted to share some of this weeks great meat prices. Kroger has New York Strip Steak for $3.99/lb. and chicken leg quarters for 59 cents/lb., they also have Salmon for $5.99/lb. and I usually buy it when it is on sale for around $5/lb but H.E.B. had it on sale last week for $3.97/lb. WOW, that hardly ever happens! Randalls has Fresh Whole Boneless Pork Loin for $1/99/lb. H.E.B. has Beef Brisket for $1.47/lb. (sometimes you can find it cheaper but that is becoming more scarce with brisket) and they also have boneless/skinless chicken breast for $1.97/lb. (Zaycon foods sells this chicken @ $1.79/lb but you have to buy 40 lbs. I split it w/a friend).
Hi Tiffany! I’ve got a Dollar General question. Can you use any other DG store coupon when you use the $5/$25 coupon?? I was planning a trip for Saturday but I’m not sure if I can do what I’d planned. I have one of the $5 off coupons to use and I was planning on getting the Sparkle paper towels and using the 75¢ off DG store coupon as well. I was wondering what was the name of the company that you had at one of your classes that sell coupon binders already ready. They were $40 or $50 dollars.
Our church ward has a monthly relief society (women’s group) meeting one Wednesday of each month. I was wondering if you ever travel to the east coast, specifically South Jersey, or even the Philadelphia area. I know they would love to learn to coupon in order to build their food storage. Also, how to menu plan to make the most of what they have. Most families have food storage, but they don’t know how to use it for everyday purposes. This would be so helpful, especially for young wives and new members. Families in my ward are generally large and your experience would be of tremendous value.

If you use your card you can get two bottles of 50 load washes. Each is 3.99 and I had a 2.00 coupon so I got two bottles for 1.88 each plus tax!! Thought you could pass the word.

An employee at Randall’s (242 local) told me today that a huge group of managers were meeting in Dallas to discuss/plan on somehow hooking up coupons to your shopper card so you would automatically get savings with their sales without having to clip. She said they would be the first store to try anything like this. Have you heard of this? These wouldn’t be like cellfire where you have to load them. If I understood her explaination correctly, they would be amounts automatically taken off in correspondence to any manu coupon out there in the RP/SS/and such flyers. Trying this method to ditch all the paper and move completely electronic. Interesting, huh?
Yes we have a meeting with them next week. This is the same program that they have in CAlifornia and other parts of the country, we are one of the last to get it! Thankfully, we are getting it really soon!

The reason that I have done this is because there are some deals that I will reference later on and realize that MANY people miss them never having seen them. I know we recently had printables (no longer available) for $1.00/4 so with the sale and coupon they would be .25 cents each!! Great deal, even if you dont have the coupon. you can price match to walmart too. Sale price good from wed 7/11 to tues 7/17. just wanted to let you know:)

I just found a really good deal on diapers ($.15 each!) at Babies R Us. I was quite unsure of the deal until I did the math…1 box of Pampers Baby Dry Economy Plus Pack 192 count, Size 4 is $45.99. When you buy 2 you save $25. Combine that with two $3 coupons from the 7/1 PG and it brings it down to about $60 for for 384 diapers…it’s a lot oop but a good deal if you can swing it!

No one knows how challenging it can be, to be a mom of many. I had an amazingly, fun filled, disciplined childhood. She (they) did so much for us and I know your children will realize what a wonderful mom they have in you. I think you are an incredible woman. Also..not sure if you have heard about this but i have gotten a catalina 2 times at randalls that says “save 2.00 when you buy any 5 general mills cereals”. well, those are the ones on sale for 1.49 when you buy 4. so i bought the 5th one for full price of 2.49 and used the 2.00 catalina to get the fifth box for 49 cents. A man behind me complimented my mad coupon skills and i told him to go to your website and just follow along!!
Not sure if anyone else has been a winner and received the coupon, but here is what I just sent to Imperial Sugar in response to the coupon I just received in the mail. Hubby says that it is unlikely that any cashier would notice the misspelling, but my Walmart is HORRIBLE about accepting coupons, and it is just not worth the risk of being humiliated.

I am new to walgreens RR system. Last week I got some good stuff and had $13 in RR print (4, 4, 3, 1,1). Today I went to buy items and my total was just under $7. I tried to pay with RR 4, 1, 1 and the cashier said I could onyl use one per transaction. So I had to pay $3 out of pocket. Is this right-to only be allowed one RR each transaction? Call the paper and ask them what their special is. You can usually get 1 delivered for $.75 on Sundays.
Can you please clarify for me the “just 4 u ” program at randalls? If you click on a just for u deal, youa re not allowed to combine the deal with a manufacturers coupon…is that correct ? Trying to keep track of what i have loaded always throws me off a bit..
Yes that is correct! They are also manufacturer coupons and so they can’t be combined.
sorry..and when it says “one time” is that for 1 item only or if you buy multiple of the same item does the electronic coupon work for all items?
It is just for 1 item, 1 time. That is why although it is a cool program there are a LOT of flaws.
Josie said that the “one time” verbiage means that you can use it as many times as you want, it just has to be in one transaction. I’m confused now?
That is correct, whatever you buy in that transaction will get the $1 off.

Question: Houston Chron rep said they were spreading coupon inserts from Weds-Sun to get more people to subscribe to more papers. Is this true? Anyone have Weds-Sun subscription, and are the coupons different?
They have always said there were coupon inserts in the wednesday paper. They are not the coupons that we want, they are the oil change and restaurant coupons that you get in the mail. So I would be surprised if they actually separated them that way, I am not sure their contract would let them.
I wasn’t sure where to post this but thought readers might find this handy. I posted pictures to our photo bucket page of name brands I found at our local Dollar Tree in West Tennessee. As you mentioned before you have to watch sizes but as always those coupons that say “any” will work great! Hope this helps.

my birthday is this week and when people ask me what i want (which i hate because i rarely ever want anything) i am telling them to do something nice for someone else. i will be 44 and am putting together a list to perform 44 acts of kindness throughout the week. i am up to 27 and need more suggestions. would like more to be either free or low cost. any tips? could you put this on your site and ask your followers so i could see what their responses are also, i think this could really give me some good ideas. my favorite so far is going to streetlight corners and cleaning up the cigarette butts people empty out of their ashtrays. please ask your children also as i would really like a little ones input as well geared toward litte ones (my daughter is 22). —the only thing i could come up with for children is to take coloring books/colors to hospital waiting rooms and my favorite is putting quarters in all the machines in the front of grocery stores that have the little bubble prizes in them (have no idea what they are called–like gumball machines) since every kid i see always tries to turn the knob to just see if anything comes out. i want to see them happy when something actually does even when they didn’t have a quarter. thanks so much tiffany. i love your blog and check it at least twice a day. you and paul give me so much inspiration. thanks again!!!

This has actually been very fun, but didn’t realize how much time it would take to do them all. all the items i “handed out” or left/donated had a note taped to them stating what i was doing and why. peoples reactions have been kind of cautious but funny and positive. sad that people are cautious when others are kind to them–though i totally understand why and also agree with it. it’s what our world has evolved into, but i will continue on.

I was watching your episode on Extreme Coupons (on Netflix) and I am amazed at how much you got for so little! I also noticed that the other episodes showed people getting coupons doubled at Kroger, which is how they were able to get so much. I know Kroger stopped doing that a while back. I was wondering if you would consider posting about an effort to send comments to Kroger to bring the double coupons back. I don’t shop there very much at all and I would probably do more shopping there if they had double coupons again. There has to be something we all can do as a group to make our wishes known to them as a corporation. I thought I would ask you since you know a whole lot more about this than I do.

Yes! The $5 will come off automatically. This is a little different then the last one. You *might* get additional catlinas back for the items that are overlapping. But the MAIN mete event deal they are just coming off before you pay.

You should have gotten a conformation email from them, there is tracking information on there I believe. They are shipping eveything out Jan 1-4th so you should get it the 4th – 8th! You can always call the corporate number on your email and double check with them to just make sure.
Not sure if I just got lucky or what but today I was in Target and saw some Chinet 14oz Cut Crystal cups that someone had laid down near the Christmas clearance. I had just passed a display of these and they were marked $2.99. I decided to price check them along with my clearance items because my Target will sometimes forget to mark sale prices and they were priced at $0.89! Great price for cups that are usually expensive. I ended up getting 16 sleeves of them!

I was at the Kroger in Tomball tonight and they had the Crystal Light On the Go Lemonade packs in their clearance bin for 99 cents. They work with the catalina going on right now. We are trying to put together a Coupon Fair at our church in Pasadena Texas. We are inviting businesses to be a part of it to give our coupons/free samples, etc… mini health fair (high school HOSA students doing blood pressure,etc…) basically anything free we can find to benefit our community. I am looking for coupon bloggers to set up small mini seminars (can help them get people to come to their classes,etc…) Would you possibly be available or know of others in the Pasadena/Houston area that I can contact? It will be March 2

Hi Tiffany-I follow your website daily and recommend it to (almost) everyone I talk to ! I am wondering if you can help me think through something….I am planning a ski trip to Colorado over Spring Break (myself + 2 kids, possibly one other adult). We are driving to save money (ha ha! Skiing is so expensive, but we love it!). Anyway, b/c I am driving I am planning to take groceries and cook meals in the condo for breakfast and dinner. Could you help me with meal planning efficiently (or recommend where I can get ideas) ? …I would like to minimize the amount of groceries and maximize the meals. Also considering taking some meals already prepared in a cooler (maybe dry ice ? ….heard some controversy about traveling with dry ice, however). Thank you for any help you can provide. I have to believe that I’m not the only on “road-traveling” over Spring Break that could benefit from this information. The lady I spoke with about the condo in CO today said she had a “ton of people” from Texas coming up this Spring Break. P.S. I live in Cypress, TX. Sorry about the long comment !

Hi Tiffany, I have a question for you. I submitted a rebate for the Topical Health Care $5. It’s the one where you buy any 3 of Band-aids, Bengay, Neosporin or J&J Red Cross brand and get a rebate for $10. You had to buy the products between 1/6 thru 1/13. Well, I purchased 2 Neosporin+pain reliever and 2 J&J sticky wrap. I cut out the upc’s and attached my reciept with the items circled on the rebate form and mailed it in. I just got back a letter that said the cash register reciept or the upc codes I submitted does not indicate the correct items purchased. What in world did I do wrong? They sent back my rebate form and it looks like someone put a red X on the upc’s for the J&J and then scratch them out, then they have a red X on one of the Neosporin upc’s and just a / on the other neosporin upc. The letter also said please submit your entire corrected order along with the letter within 30 days of the date of the letter. My question is, should I go out and buy 3 more items and re-submit them or do they have to be dated back from 1/6-1/13 or would you just blow it off? I was so excited about this rebate!! Any suggestions?

No, there is no phone number on the rebate form or the letter! That’s the first thing I looked for. Has anyone else revieved their rebate check, that you know of? This makes me not want to do the “rebate thing” anymore. Thanks for your reply!

Hi Tiffany….I have a question: This weeks HEB ad dated 01/30/2013 – 02/05/2013 DiGiorno Pizza 2/7.oo, in the ad it says with in-store coupon. I got the 2 pizzas and used the yellow coupon hanging on the outside of the freezer door and I had a coupon, buy 2 get one free.
2 questions I guess,
1) Can you use coupons like that, if it’s a buy 2 fro a certain priec and then the coupon is to get one free?
2) The ad says with “in-store coupon” but then the coupon has printed on the top, “manufacturer’s coupon” how can they call that a manufacturer’s coupon?
They are both manufacturers coupons, so they can’t be combined together. HEB is weird that way. They have some kind of deal with the manufacturers.
Oh…..I see! I was all excited after your class Friday in Needville learning that I could use 2 coupons and then they call their in-store coupons manufacturer coupons. Epic Fail! By the way Tiffany, that class was amazing!

Just tried repinning the actual recipe for the copy cat Red Lobster biscuits recipe from the actual recipe page with the ingredients and directions included but when it pinned it showed a craft idea instead of the recipe. Not having any luck with this recipe pin at all. Last attempt was just the photo and no recipe now this craft. I have removed one pin and will remove the other but would like to pin a picture with the recipe included. Help.

Need help! I have always shopped at Krogers for years and never had a problem with them taking my coupons no matter what the amount was. Today I presented a coupon that was more than the product, like I have in the past, and the coupon was refused. I was told they do not accept coupons that are greater than the product. Is this really the case? Have I just been blessed in the past?
Hi Iwas just wanting to share about a great website that I have been using to cut the cost of some of our familys needs . I review products on expotv.com.Its great you can also get free stuff to test , so far I’ve gotten hair dye , diapers and night cream . What is my favortie part is the gift cards , a cvs $5 egift card is 625 points and most video review are 500 point at least .Some are 300 .Its been a great way , also starbucks cards and my next one I’m trying to save my pointts for is a safeway gift card .I thought of this when I was reading your awesome segment on the fiscal clif survival guide.
Just had the worst experience with Wal-Mart and price matching. I took all of my ads in with me and the cashier wanted to see EVERY one of them and scrutinized each one of them for 20 minutes! It was ridiculous! I tried to get brocolli (in the bunch) but she would not let me price match is because theirs it in a plastic bag with a bar code on it. What??? Bunch brocolli is bunch brocolli. What am I missing? Also I got onions which were advertised at another store for 2 lb for $1.00, so I said “these are .50 a lb”, and she weighed my onions and they were over 2 lbs and she said “no, they are 2 lb for $1.00″, to which I said, “yes, which makes them .50 a lb.” There were several other items she would not price match. I am DONE with Wal-Mart! No wonder they are having financial problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In today’s sale add 2-27-13 for Tom Thumb/ Randal’s on the back page there is a add for Schick Hydro Men’s Disposable Razors for $4.49. In one of the last 2 Sunday papers that came out there was a coupon for $4.00 which would make them .49cents. Just wanted to let you know.
In the ad it is a manufacturer ecoupon that makes them $4.49 so you can’t use a paper manufacturer coupon with them
I took the sale add with me to WalMart and showed it at the check out, and asked the cashier if they went by the starting price or the $4.49 price and she told me they would go by the 4.49 price and I could still use the coupon. I am new to this so was unsure on the rules so I just asked.

Went to Wal-Mart this morning and my first check out was going to be -$3.03 the cashier told me that they are NO longer paying people. She said if I did not spend the $3.03 on something I would loose it. So just wanted to give people a heads up she said they changed their store policy on Friday. I have not yet checked the Wal-Mart website to see if they have made any changes to their policy yet.

I will have to call my store then because I still had a negative balance that they did not pay me.
I called my local store and the manager that I spoke to said it all comes down to which ever manager is on the floor. She said she always gives the money to the customers, because there is a little note on the wall at the registers that states they are to give the money to the customers. She also said there are managers that do not give the money back to the customers when they have a negative balance.

I wanted to ask a few questions. Has it become much more difficult to get all the freebies since the show has aired? Watching the show and seeing people with 240 coupons for $1/1 paper towel rolls that cost $.99… it isn’t so realistic to me here in Conroe. Do they just not make coupons much like they used to? Are there ways to get more paper towels and toilet paper for free like that? Thanks so much!!
For me, the easiest freebies are makeup and shampoo, razors… etc… the household products, I can get cheap, but not free usually…
It is just s trend in general. We have never been able to shop like that here, our stores would never had let us. No the paper products will not be free but there will always be coupons for them. Yes I agree I get the same freebies.
Help! My family and I are moving to Magnolia in the fall. What is Kroger’s coupon policy? I know they don’t double anymore but how many like coupons can you use in 1 transaction? Do they ever have special days when they double coupons? Where I live, coupons up to .99 are doubled and we can use 4 like coupons per transaction. Thanks!!
