No No No….th manager Cathy iformed me that HER store does not allow overages on Mark Downs sooooo “You can. Eachget 50 off each item & yoi t
Tiffany,
I had attempted to generate an email earlier today as I was in Kroger and attempting to use my info per your website to get a Great Deal!
In the Mark Down Section ..Deodorant was .50 each and I have 1.00 coupons for the item.
I was under the impression that I would get 2 items at .50 each … thus 2 for Free!
I was singeled out by the Manager Cathy and told that I could…
Use 1.00 coupon for 1 Deodorant that cost .50, but I could not get Overage credit for the remaining .50 !
The manager came outta thin air and acted like I had a Gun and was in the process of a Robbery!!!
Please provide feedback as to what the Policy is at the local Kroger on Research and Kukendahl. I was told that each Kroger also has their own policy with coupons and the Mark Down Section.
Thanks
Crook via Coupons ….lol
Hi Tiffany,
I live in College Station, TX approx 100 miles from Houston. Here our Krogers store still doubles and triples coupons. I had a similar problem that Vanesta had. I planned a shopping trip to benefit our local food bank and wanted to demonstrate this to others to get them on board with doing a group donation from our church. I pre-ordered 175 boxes of Yakisoba noodles among other items and used 175 $0.50 off coupons. The noodles were priced at $0.89 each. I thought that the boxes would generate enough overage for 49 packs of spaghetti they had on sale this week for $0.39. I planned on spending less than $6 on this trip but ended up spending $28…. Still not bad but not what I had planned. I didn’t talk to the cashier or manager about this. I wanted to check with you first. What do you advise I do? Is it correct?
Yes, according to the coupon policy, they didn’t even have to do the Yakisoba noodles for free. http://mylitter.com/store-coupon-policies-links-to-coupons/
Yes I read the coupon policy but thought it only pertained to printable coupons. What happened @ checkout:
$0.89 noodles
-0.50 off manufacturer coupon
-0.39 bonus coupon (didn’t double completely)
=free product but no $0.11 overage I was counting on.
I’ve experienced overage before but not w/doubling @ Krogers so I’m not sure what changed. It was when the Olay bath soap was $4.99 & Secret on sale for $1. I had $2 off secret w/purchase of Olay $ 4 off Olay soap. The combined coupons made it free.
So I am really bummed. My Ralph’s here doubled all manuf. coupons and as many as you wanted, but are now only taking them at face value. They are also doing away with the reward certificates that amounted to over an additional 10% savings for us. They said on lieu of double coupons and reward certificates, they are lowering prices across the board. I am skeptical. Did you find that they lowered prices at all, and if so, enough to offset the loss of double coupons and the reward certificates?
Hi Tiffany and Paul, I just wanted to tell yall how neat it was meeting you today. I have been following your blogs for about a year now, so I feel like I know you two. You know me and my mom are trying to work on our tatterd relationship, and it just felt ironic that I meet yall today of all days when she was with me, because we are never together. Since couponing is a big part of my life, yall are a big part of my life, she got to see me in action, and meet the people who taught it to me. We had lunch after and got to really talk which is hard for us. It was a good day!!
Hi Tiffany….My Kmart, in Edgewater, MD has all childrens winter coats and snowpants for $4.99. All the winter clothes are $1.99 or .99 each. This is great for people that want to buy for the fall and coming winter. Also, all the winter pajamas are $1.99 for kids and adults. I’m not sure if all the Kmarts are doing this or not.
Good morning, the links in the walgreens scenario 4/1-4/7 email sent this morning are not working.
Hi, I was wondering if you know about any deals coming up for Shelf Reliance food storage. I remember you helped me get a great deal on the Cansolidator Pantry systems I have, and I’d like to get another one.
CONGRATULATIONS TIFFANY!!!!! So happy for you and your family that you won the DeWafelbakker Pancake contest. You have helpd me save tons of money in the past year and help others also. I’m Mormon, so food storage has always been a priority to me. You have helped my food storage grow tremendously. My husband and I are both recently unemployed, and are surviving just fine. I attribute a lot of that to everything I have learned from you and Paul. Thank you so much. You deserve the win!
Thank you so much Christine! I really appreciate that!
Wow you won!!!Congrats…how awsome

I scored an awesome deal on the Lysol No touch soap dispenser at Menards for 99 cents! I am not sure if Menards are everywhere, as I live in Illinois but I figured I would let you know so if there are Menards people can go get this awesome deal. Menards has this on sale for 3.99 and they acceot mfgr coupons, I used the one in the inserts from a few weeks ago I think. I dont remember which one but anyway their sale is till this Sunday the 22nd I believe. I got 4 no touch lysol dispensers for under $4! Awesome deal!!!
Dang! I miss Menards! We had them in Iowa and I loved them!
Tiffany:
Every time that you or Paul have posted the $1 off 4 del monte I have not been able to find it. I use the 77477 code and still can’t find it.

I want to attend the Katy coupon class but have a prior engagement. Will you be having another class out this way??
I’m going to have to rethink my couponing strategies! I live in upstate NY but my family and I are moving to either The Woodlands or Magnolia this summer. The stores here double coupons. If anyone has some good advice and which stores give the best deals there, please let me know! Thanks!!
I am looking for some products that help with organization ie this thing that you can put your cans in and they roll down etc do you know where to look for this stuff. I want my pantry to look great
Hi there,
I hope that your weekend is going well. I hope you dont mind me sharing, but this is such a great deal I felt I had to share. I just signed up with AVON (so excited) and the once a year SKIN SO SOFT deal is going on now. That means that all mosquito and sunscreen lotions are HALF-PRICE. If you have tried these items you know what a great deal this is.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Thanks so much in all the work you do to helping me to save all I can. Am a mommy to 4, and every little bit helps.
Thanks again,
Karla Belote
Randall’s at the corner of Louetta and Champions Forest is closing and has everything marked down 50% off. There are a TON of people and long lines, but you can score some pretty great deals.
I am just getting serious with couponing and took your class in Katy last week and got some really valuable information. Thanks! I have however been watching meat prices for awhile as you don’t get coupons for meat unless you have a coupon for a certain amount off of your bill if you buy a certain amount (Kroger does this alot). I usually try to stay under $2/lb. except for hamburger, steaks and fish and try not to pay over $4/lb. for steaks. But, I wanted to share some of this weeks great meat prices. Kroger has New York Strip Steak for $3.99/lb. and chicken leg quarters for 59 cents/lb., they also have Salmon for $5.99/lb. and I usually buy it when it is on sale for around $5/lb but H.E.B. had it on sale last week for $3.97/lb. WOW, that hardly ever happens! Randalls has Fresh Whole Boneless Pork Loin for $1/99/lb. H.E.B. has Beef Brisket for $1.47/lb. (sometimes you can find it cheaper but that is becoming more scarce with brisket) and they also have boneless/skinless chicken breast for $1.97/lb. (Zaycon foods sells this chicken @ $1.79/lb but you have to buy 40 lbs. I split it w/a friend).
Hi Tiffany! I’ve got a Dollar General question. Can you use any other DG store coupon when you use the $5/$25 coupon?? I was planning a trip for Saturday but I’m not sure if I can do what I’d planned. I have one of the $5 off coupons to use and I was planning on getting the Sparkle paper towels and using the 75¢ off DG store coupon as well. I couldn’t find anything in their coupon policy that states that you can’t do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you:-)
Tiffany,
What are the rules for hosting a coupon class?
Cost per person?
Number of attendees?
Venue(Home, restaurant, civic center?)
