Breaking Down a Coupon Binder! PLUS A LOADED BINDER GIVEAWAY!

There are many different ways to store your coupons. For me the easiest
and best way is a coupon binder. I realize that it isn’t the sexiest thing to be carrying around a grocery store, but hey, your saving money and they aren’t!
I would only get a binder that has a handle and for me a carrying strap. I have to hang onto too many kids in a parking lot to be carrying this anywhere other than my shoulder. : )
I have tried a few different binders, you will see in the video below that I was using 2 different binders at one time, but for the past 9mo. I have been using one huge binder. I use a Case It brand binder that has 2 rings inside. One is a 2 1/2 inch ring and the other is 1 inch ring.
In Aug. for back to school it is easy to find these binders. Right now it is next to impossible! I can only find them online until next August.
The left section is bigger and holds all my coupons for groceries or things I might find in a grocery store. The right side I use for everything that I buy at CVS or Walgreens. Toiletries and Pharmacy items.
I love this binder because it has so many pockets and zipper bags. I keep store circulars, grocery cards, coupon books and scissors here.
PUT YOUR NAME IN YOUR BINDER! Just incase you loose or forget it in the cart, make sure someone can get it back to you!
I use baseball card holders to store my coupons. I have a few clear CD pages in here but those are just in the back for really big coupons I can’t fold. I cut and put all my coupons in at one time. You can watch a VIDEO HERE how I do this. This method is best for me. I love to be able to flip through the pages and see exactly what I have, it also makes pulling out expired’s easy. My sections of the binder are labeled like the isles of a grocery store. I sit my binder in the child seat of the cart ( if a kid is there I have to put the binder in the cart) than I as I walk down the isles I just flip to that section of the binder and can easily see what coupons I have.
These are the categories that I have in my binder.
First section:
Dairy
Snacks
Baking
Canned
Deli
Boxed
Frozen
Drinks
Cereal
Cleaning
Non-Food
Pets
Mom/Baby
Second Section:
Deodorant
Teeth
Shaving
Lotion
Shampoo
Make-Up
Pharmacy
Paper
Places to buy supplies. I would estimate it to cost about $40 to put together a good binder.
Binders:
During the back to school sales try Target, Walmart, Walgreens and the Office Supply Stores.
Baseball Card Pages:
I get mine at Walmart, they are about 35 for $5.98. They are located in the front of the store by the baseball and Pokemon cards. Target has a bigger pack for about $15 but they are always sold out. I have heard that people get them at the Dollar Store but I have looked for a year and have never seen them.
Page Dividers:
Again, usually Walmart. Just make sure you don’t use the paper pages, they will tear in no time. Get the plastic pages. I used a label maker to label mine.

Crayola review and 24 hour giveaway!
A few weeks ago I had the chance to review a really cool box of nice Crayola products, thanks to My Blog Spark! They sent three of their newest products, all items that we have wanted to try.
When the box came I had the kids pick one of the items out to donate to Toys for Tots. They chose the The Crayola Beginnings Color Me A Song This portable drawing and music creation station features a pressure-sensitive board that matches a melody to the artist’s pace. Draw fast, and the tempo picks up. Slow down, and so does the music. Four instrument buttons let kids pick their favorite sound. Color Me a Song was named a “Toy of the Year” by FamilyFun magazine and one of American Baby magazine’s picks for “Best Toys of the Year.” For children 24 months and up; suggested retail price is $24.99.
Right away they ripped into the Crayola Glow Dome which they had seen at the store and were begging for anyway! The colors and rotating action are neat, different, and the kids like the new-ness of writing on something clear. They all played with the Dome unsupervised for almost an hour. Winner in my book!
This last one was really interesting… The Crayola Glow Station was the neatest in my book, the technology was very cool. Using a light wand, children can either draw freehand or use stencils and texture sheets to create more realistic drawings. A diamond-shaped tip can be snapped on the end of the light wand for stamping unique starburst designs on the canvas. Drawings magically disappear over time, or can be “erased” by turning on the lights, so kids can create again and again for limitless fun. For children ages six and up; suggested retail price is $29.99.
Personally, I think these would make really nice Christmas presents. I would so much rather have the kids get toys that stimulate their imagination than mindless cheap toys that I toss in a month!

If I ever think it is going to be a good idea to write them all out by hand… slap me!
I had the best intentions of having this really fun drawing with the kids when they got home from school but I severely underestimated the time it would take to WRITE OUT 1500 NAMES BY HAND!!
I have used random.org in the past… but sometimes people don’t make separate comments and I get emails wanting me to enter them in that way, etc. So I wanted to make sure I got everyone in like they should be!
But, almost 4 hours of writing out names later…. I will most certainly be using random next time I do a big one. The smaller ones I don’t mind!

Giveaway Wednesday!! Name Bubbles!
A few weeks ago Michelle from Name Bubbles contacted me about a giveaway. How cool is that??!! They generously sent me some of their products to test out. Name Bubbles is the leader in name labels, school uniform labels and waterproof labels. They will be giving a lucky reader a PACK of lables!
They sent me two different packs, I did some for the girls and some for the boys. At first I was not sure if I would use many of them as my kids aren’t in day care or pre-school. Was I wrong! These things are quality labels, not the rip-apart kind you have seen other places. The above label I put on Storie’s shirt and washed it in every load I did this week (the shirt is still stained by the way). The label stuck perfectly and still looks new. 
I stuck the larger labels on the kids toys that we take to baseball/softball games. We manage to loose something every time we go and with a last name like ours if it has a name on it we are likely to get it back!
I labeled all our books that we take to church and lose there, and all my books that I loan out to friends.
The best labels they have in my opinion are the “Bubble Toes” these are darling little feet that stick in the kids shoes. I can’t tell you how many pairs of Crocs we have lost at swim meets. These are water proof, and the best part, it has helped my little one know which foot goes in which shoe!!! She just looks at the sticker and matches her foot with it! She has worn these all week all day and the label looks perfect still.
I labeled all Rush’s sippy cup’s and everything he and the girls take to the YMCA when Paul and I go. The ladies at the YMCA were very impressed mostly that Rush’s zip lock that I usually throw all his stuff in I replaced with a lunch bag and that his name was actually on everything… thanks to Name Bubbles. This label is dishwasher safe and believe me I have been testing it! The sippy cup and the storage containers below I washed probably 8 times on hot and the labels haven’t budged.
Anyway, I am a huge fan now and am going to change my standard baby shower gifts to these! Name Bubbles has packs for camp, sports, birthday, school, daycare, nursing home and college. Yesterday was one of the best day’s I have had in along time!
Good friends and lots of fun… all day!
On a side note… I have to thank my husband for taking the kids to a primary activity, 2 birthday parties, one at Chuck E Cheese ( that deserves a medal alone) grocery shopping with coupons to Kroger for the one day sale, cleaned the house, and had friends over that night while I ditched him again, to go to a Women’s activity for church. Even a bigger thanks to him because he didn’t complain once!
Anna my sister, Suzanne a great friend and myself drove to Katy for the Pioneer Woman’s cook book signing. We met my Sister In Law Tonia there.

The first thing they did was have a little question and answer session, very good. She was exactly as you would have expected, very funny, warm and sincere. Even a little bugged, I think, that they asked her if her husband wore boxers or briefs!
This is a drawing that my sister Anna did of the Pioneer Woman’s husband. Anna is an amazing artist, if you have been to my house you can see all the drawings she has done of my kids!
It only took her maybe an hour to sketch this out… days later I would still be trying to sharpen the pencil!

I collect cookbooks and have 100’s. I have read this one cover to cover a few times. I love it because of the step by step instructions along with pictures. I have made many of the recipes in here already, over the past 15 years. They are REAL FOOD recipes. There is not one in this book, that my kids would not eat. Many are our favorites! We tried her Olive Bread recipe for Thanksgiving, it was AWESOME!
I can’t wait to go page by page and make every single recipe in here!
