I love getting these coupons from Kroger. See the one at the top right? It is for a free bag of Nestle chocolate chips. Cool. At Thanksgiving they usually have a free turkey and through out the year I have gotten really nice free items. They use data (unfortunately) from what your purchase by tracking your Kroger card and tailor these coupons specifically to you. Now, I knew this when I got my Kroger card it said it right on the back of the form. In the beginning I really had a problem with them knowing what I bought. I still do to a degree, but I figure all the weird coupons purchases and timing of when I buy items probably throws them off!

Also, today I got my check from Shop at Home for my November purchases. That was a nice surprise because I always forget I have these coming.

The temporarily loss of my sister coupon binder has brought me to this point.

Anna and I went shopping to Kroger on Thursday night. I left before she did, after making fun of her parking job, ( see photo below!) and went home. Anna said she was missing her binder on Saturday but I figured she would find it. Sunday, it was NOWHERE to be found. She was searching everywhere as she clearly remembered putting it in the car on Thursday night. Jeff, Anna’s husband was sure that Kroger had a phone number (sarcasm) and made her call. 
It was there! Someone had turned it in!
She got lucky, it was packed full of coupons. 
This was from my camera phone because it made me laugh. When I got out to the parking lot ( in the pouring rain) to put my groceries in the car, my husband and I got a good laugh at my sisters parking job. In fact I even called her in the store to comment on it. 
Me: “Nice parking job.”
Anna: “Whats wrong with it?”
Me: “Really?”
Anna: “Your just jealous because my spot was better than yours!”
Me: “Um, yea….”
She had no idea that she parked illegally. I will give her a break, she is blond and has really bad highlights at that!

Menu Plan Monday

This time of year has snuck up on me once again! I know for all you further north and those under 2 feet of snow don’t start your spring sports for a few more months. Here in the “south” we have already had our drafts and start baseball/softball practices this week. This means for me, my life changes for the next 4 1/2 months. With 3 kids playing baseball/softball, one in soccer and another in ballet, I have no life. 
Dinner really suffers! I have to be realistic! Many meals are “lunches” that I pack and we eat at whatever park for practice we happen to be at. I try my hardest to avoid fast food for the price and just how unhealthy it is.
But, to be honest I love this time of year. I love being outside every night and coming home wore out from the fresh air, I love my kids getting filthy dirty in the sand and clay of the fields, and I love the “lighter” dinners that we eat.

Monday:
Dinner ~ Leftovers from the superbowl! We have sandwiches, guacamole, crackers and cheese, etc.

Tuesday:
Dinner ~ Grilled Chicken with Salad, no recipe, just as easy as it sounds.

Wednesday:
Dinner ~ I can’t believe I am going to admit this! Hamburger Helper… does anyone else’s kids LOVE this as much as mine??

Thursday:
Dinner ~ Harvest Soup. My grandma’s recipe. I will post it on Wednesday.

Friday:
Dinner ~ Pizza.
