**Update. We just got back adn the line was long, but worth it. We had fun and saw friends, Hi Beth P.!!! I had the Turkey Pastrami, Paul had the French Dip and the kids had Turkey. They were all really good, I might take the big kids back when school is out!
Today only Which Wich sandwich shop are offering $.99 cents sandwiches to all their customers. One sandwich per guest. I have a feeling I know where we will be having dinner!

The 99 cent sandwich offer is available at 60 participating Which Wich locations throughout Texas. Guests can choose from 50 varieties of customizable, toasted sandwiches made with more than 40 quality meats, cheeses, vegetables, spreads and sauces. There is a limit of one 99 cent sandwich per guest.


“We recognize it’s been a rough year for many of our guests,” said Which Wich founder and Chief Vibe Officer Jeff Sinelli. “We are pleased to ring in the new decade with a superior deal. It’s our way of saying ‘Best Wiches’ in the New Year!”

Tutorial for the "Envelope System"

If it is your goal to get organized, specifically your coupons this year, check out this blog! Kelleigh has made the most beautiful envelops for her cash system and coupons. 


There are many different ways to organize your coupons. I personally use the binder method. But, many people use an envelope system. They pull out the coupons they need for a specific sale or store and keep them in an envelope in their car or purse. 


You know what’s so cool? Kelleigh isn’t selling her envelope system (though I really think she ought to!), instead she generously posted the complete tutorial and template here so you can create your own. (Thanks Money Saving Mom.)


Check back on Monday, I am going to break down my coupon binder for you. Show you what all my tabs are and list all the best, and cheapest places to find all the items you will need to make your own binder! Plus, I will be giving one away…

A few free Johnson & Johnson's products!

Johnson-first-aid
I love these little kits. I have them in every car and purse. I gave 29 of them away last summer at our family reunion in everyones goody bags. In this past weeks paper there was a coupon for $1/1 Johnson & Johnson First Aid product. You can find these in the travel section for $1 at CVS, Walmart and Target. 
Johnsons-buddies
There’s a brand-new coupon available here for $1/1 any Johnson’s Baby Product. There was also one in the Sunday paper this past week. Use this on the Johnson’s Buddies soaps which are priced for $1 at Walmart, Target, Kroger ($1.09) and elsewhere to get them free after the coupon. There was a time that I had about 50 of these bars, but lately I have been told at the register that you can’t use this coupon on this product. I even called J&J and they confirmed that it was a baby product so I wasn’t doing anything wrong. I hope you have better luck!

Kroger deals week of January 6-12th

There are some good deals this week again at Kroger! The clementines are on sale again ( thank goodness) we can eat 5lbs in less than 4 hours here in my house. Pork loin is $1.49 a pound, not great but the kids have been asking for some pulled meat sandwiches.
Remember in my area, Houston, Kroger isn’t taking any e-coupons anymore. My store will also double any coupon up to $.50 and triple any coupon up to $.39.

An update on the Walgreens post and question.

“I heard back from Walgreens. I got a personal phone call and yes it’s the new Walgreens policy. The cashiers are supposed to do all Walgreens coupons first and then the manufacturer coupons. The store manager told me that if they didn’t follow this procedure, their job would be in jeopardy. I guess the Walgreens shopping is pretty much done for me. I don’t have a CVS or Rite Aid close by so I was hooked on Walgreens.”

Wow, I am really dissapointed. Walgreens seems to hate their customers, not only are the managers and cashiers (in my area) unfriendly and rude, I am sure they are thrilled that many coupon shoppers will not be shopping their anymore. Any thoughts?

When NOT to play the "Name Game!"

Who remembers the name game? You know the little song you learn in school goes something llike this;

Then you take turns calling out all the kids in the class. Apparently, my 7 year old learned this fun little song right before the Christmas break. We were the lucky recipiants of hearing this little number everyday all day long. But wait, it gets better…

A week ago I had all the kids with me plus an extra little friend. I had to run errands and drove through the drive-thru at the bank. Being a nice day I had all 4 windows down on the suburban. When I pulled up the teller at the bank, an older woman about 60, saw all 7 kids in the car and commented on never having seen that many car seats in one vehicle. I smiled and nodded, dropped my check in the canister, and sent it off. All the while my 7 year old is belting out the banana fanna song. She is going through each child in the car….

Now, my oldest son’s name is Tucker. I am sure with some imagination you can figure out what 4 letter word his name rhymes with…. got it? O.K. Now, my 7 year old gets to Tuckers name and starts singing at the top of her lungs. Tucker, Tucker bobucker, banana fanna fo *ucker… we all GASP! My older 2 know that is a bad word, the 7 year old does not. I quickly tell her to stop, she is confused, and starts all over again, only LOUDER. My older 2 are freaking out, I am trying to reach out the window and grab my cash telling her to stop at the same time. This time she gets to the offensive part and not only do all 7 of us in the car hear her loud and clear, but the nice teller lady and the man in the car next to us also hear her innocent foul song!

I looked at the teller and smiled, she looked at me and motioned to the 8 suckers she had put in the canister for me. “I put in 8 suckers, one for each of the children, and one for you. You look like you need it.” The teller says.

And with that, I headed home to ruin my 7 year olds life by telling her she was saying a bad word and that her Father and I failed to consider the “Name Game” when we were naming our children.
