Menu Plan Monday

I personally find that if I have at least some kind of plan for dinner during the week…
#1 We eat out less
#2 Makes shopping easier
#3 I can recruit more help 🙂

Monday:
Stuff!
Dinner: I have left over large baked potatoes from the baked potatoe bar we had on Saturday so I am going to fry them up with sausage and my kids FAVORITE meal called “stuff”!

Tuesday:
Roast in Crock Pot
Dinner: We have scouts tonight so we have to eat early, my husband has been dying for something in the crock pot so I am going to pull out a frozen roast I have from Kroger’s sale last week. I am going to pull a recipe off allrecipes.com

Wednesday:
Taco Salad
I have a meeting so I will be gone for dinner, this means the husbands and kids favorite, Taco Salad!

Left Over Soup!
I will make soup with the left over roast. I use this Turkey soup recipe and add left over roast. It is actually really good! I am also going to make homemade rolls.

Friday:
Homemade Pizza
This is a staple on either Friday or Saturday night! My husband and I are amazing pizza makers, just ask us:) I can’t believe Ihave never posted our dough recipe…. I will do that this Friday!

SURPRISE!

Well, I am officially announcing that I will be giving birth to Dobby the House-elf in early July.

Cute little fella/gal isn’t he/she?!

I am not kidding, I wonder if the House-elf features come from my side, or my husbands side of the family. I am not sure that I am more surprised that I am having a baby, or that it is a little elf.

As if I needed further proof that we are never really the ones in control during this life, we have been blessed with the opportunity to have another baby. I have had a few months to wrap my brain around this surprise, and am finally stable enough to start saying it out loud without stuttering…. 🙂

I am very grateful for the sense of humor that we have here in our house, not one person even batted an eyelash when I swore up and down that I was returning the lame Mirena IUD that I have as soon as I deliver it with my baby in July. Do you think they want it back? It is kinda used. Although, I would say it didn’t work very well, or I am just the lucky .01% that gets pregnant with it.

BTW – I am returning the IUD, not the baby…

Seriously now, we are extremely grateful that we have been blessed with wonderful healthy children and are super excited to welcome this wonderful little person into our family. I am very humbled with how much my children teach me every day and what amazing blessings they are. I am grateful that I have the ability to have children, and that for the most part I have easy and uneventful pregnancies. I would also be remiss if I did not mention how fabulous my husband is with newborns. He takes care of everything, I think if he could nurse he would! Things would never go as smoothly as they do without him.

Now, let this be a lesson to everyone. If you declare from the roof tops that you are not having anymore children/elf’s, and start giving away EVERY piece of baby gear you have even before your baby has outgrown it, YOU WILL GET PREGNANT!

Don’t ever say I didn’t warn you!

P.S. I would like to say “Thank You” to all the nice people who just thought I had eaten a little too many Holiday treats, and didn’t comment on my “weight gain” I LOVE you! Being 15 weeks pregnant and in denial, I am still trying to squeeze into my “normal” clothes! It’s not pretty…

Coors Rebate has deals at CVS and Walgreens this week too!

Are you as confused as I am as to the Coors Rebate? Krisitn, has done a great job of explaining it HERE.
This is the gist…
First you need to do is determine which rebate is applicable for your state. Those that live in the states that rebate #1 and #3 are for will need to determine if they are even interested in this deal since they are required to purchase Coors beer. #2 and #4 do not require the purchase of Coors beer.

Second you need to determine if you have bought the items already for the rebate. These rebates do not require UPCs, just receipts. It allows for multiple receipts from multiple dates. They cover a wide range of products, so you might want to go through your receipts and determine if you have already met the rebate. Any receipt dated Dec 11th or after is eligible.

Here are the 4 rebates in question. They can be printed here. Got to Kristin site to get more information!

Now if you need to purchase items for this rebate, here are the current deals at CVS and Walgreens.

CVS:

Buy $20 of Pepsico Products and get $10 Ecb (limit 1):
Pepsi 2 liter 4/$5
Pepsi 12 pack 3/$10 or Pepsi 8 pks 5/$10 (it varies by region so check your ad)
Tostitos or Lay’s Chips 2/$7

A great scenarios for this:

Transaction #1

$20 worth of Pepsi products (either 6 12pks, 10 8pks or 16 2liters, depending on what you want)
Pay $20 and get $10 back in ECBs.
Now you have qualified for the Buy $20/get $7.50 rebate (#3 or #4 depending on your state).

Walgreens:

Buy $20 of the following products in one transaction and get a $10 RR:
Pepsi Fridgemate 12pk Can Products Sale Price – 3/$12
Pepsi 2 Liter Products Sale Price – 4/$5.00

Transaction #1:

16 2-Liters of Pepsi Products
Pay $20 and get $10 RR.

Now you have qualified for the Buy $20/get $7.50 rebate (#3 or #4 depending on your state). But if you have already done this rebate (or plan to do this at CVS above) continue on to transaction #2 to do the $10/$30 rebate.

Transaction #2:

16 2-Liters of Pepsi Products

Pay $20 and get $10 RR.

You’ve paid $40 in cash and you have $20 in RR. (Remember you can not use the first RR to pay for the second transaction).
