I started this blog in late 2008 as a way to share recipes, family stories and an occasional great deal that I found at the store using coupons. Soon readers began requesting more and more coupon deals and pictures of my trips to the store.
Sharing those trips and my passion and love for saving money and teaching others how to do the same has evolved into the blog at MyLitter that you see today! Before I started couponing I spent about $1200 each month at the store buying food and toiletries. Now, with some planning I spend about $450.
Over the past 4 years, MyLitter blog and myself personally, have been honored to receive numerous awards including Scholastics Mommy Blogger of the Year in 2009.
I have been featured on TLC’s Extreme Couponing, The Today Show, Rachael Ray, The Early Show, MSN Money, and many more National outlets. Locally in Houston, I have made numerous appearances on Great Day Houston, was featured weekly on Houston’s Fox 26 station, and have my own weekly segment on ABC Houston KTRK 13. I have had the opportunity to work with Disney’s Live Well network and MANY online new stations. Recently, MyLitter Blog and my family, has been featured in new print such as Red Book magazine, Scholastic’s Parent & Child, The Houston Chronicle and many more local news papers.
Working with brands is a highlight for me personally as I have worked with Scholastic, Jingit, Kroger, Yo Crunch, Michelangelo’s and am currently a brand ambassador for De Waffelbakkers.
My husband Paul and I are the parents of 7 awesome kids ages 15 to 2. We have 5 girls and 2 boys who keep us busy all the time. Finding time to save money can be hard, I try and make it easier for you, so you can have a busy and fun lifestyle, and still save money!
Don’t like to coupon? Don’t worry! This site is still for you! I post awesome family friendly recipes and great online deals for clothing, shoes, household items and everything in between!
