We are having a crowd of teenagers over for a New Years party. I am still trying to get used to this teen thing, they are a lot of fun, but weird at the same time 🙂
I am making a little bit of everything and the girls coming over actually requested that we make cookies so I think I am going make a few batches ahead of time and have the dough in the fridge.
Each of the kids got to pick what they wanted, hence the hodge podge of food. It isn’t what I would have picked, but that makes it more fun for them!

Just as angelic as she looks, this girl could easily raise a Village by herself, and all the children would grow up to be President.
Self proclaimed, she would be a webkinz dog. Because, "they're cute, and puppies are too. And they're sweet and they always get along with other puppies."

Thanks for the ideas and the recipes, was trying to decide what to make for our “little” celebration, granted the oldest is 8 and they’ll all be konked out before the ball drop. But they are still excited and wanted to make “party” food. Have a Great 2013 and thanks for all you do!!!
Nicole, A little secret… We actually set the clocks 2 hours forward. At 10pm they say 12:00. We have a BIG celebration and then out the little kids to bed. We move the clocks ahead and then we all celebrate at midnight!
I’ve made the mountain dew apple dumplings before for a boy scout award ceremony and they were a big hit. I will be serving Sticky Balls (a fantastic meatball recipe but as the sauce thickens it gets sticky, hence the name), Dogs ‘n Hogs (Lil Smokies wrapped in bacon), Hot Crab Dip, Queso with Tostitos, hot hamburger spread on french bread, buffalo chicken quesadillas with blue cheese and celery, mini spinach dip bread bowls, mini chimis with sour cream and salsa, shrimp ring with cocktail sauce, bean dip with Doritos, potato chips & dip, cheese & cracker and meat platter, veggie tray, cookie and candy tray, punch and a few alcoholic beverages. I better get to bed it looks like I’ll be cooking all day in preparation for the party! Have a safe and Happy New Year!
Oh wow! I need the recipe for the Sticky Balls! Send that over when you have a break from cooking!
Yes, that sounds good , please post! There was also a great recipe on Pinterest about wrapping 1/2 meatball with a piece of mozarella cheese in a 1/2 biscuit, sprinkle with garlic powder and italian seasoning. bake and serve with pizza sauce. Tifanny thanks for the tip about the clocks 🙂
When I try to print the bloomin’ onion bread recipe, it pulls up the pizza one.
Oh I am so sorry I have not put 2 recipes in a post before. I didn’t think about how it would print. You might have ot just copy and paste it into a word doc and print that.
