In case some of you were wondering or were concerned… this is my almost 3 year old at the ballpark the other night. I have not been posting as much about our family life as I used to and I kinda miss it. I am sure you don’t it is a little like watching someone’s home movies, but since I am a slacker this is really my scrapbook. 🙂
Often I wonder in posts about how this little one is going to make it to a teen. She is completely crazy, acts like she is a teenager, talks back already and is COMPLETELY fearless. I constantly worry about her.
She has 8 people who dote on her all day long, who cater to her every need and who love her to pieces. But she has never really acted like a baby or little kid. She just has too many older people to hang out with.
For example…. my post from EXACTLY a year ago today and then below that one, the follow up from the next week…
This morning while working just on the other side of the wall, I heard the glass top of the candy jar. Teasing Paul who is trying to lose weight, I say…
“Thought you were staying out of the candy?!” I teased.
“I am.” He says from a different direction.
I heard his voice from the office which is on the other side of the house. It confused me for a second and then as it does for Mom’s, it ALL COMES TOGETHER! It could have only been the 4 year old, I thought! I sprang out of my seat and ran into the kitchen expecting to bust the little guy!
As I came around the corner what I saw took my breath away!
It was the baby! Well, our baby, she is 20 months. The 4 year old was upstairs playing in his room, where I thought she was with him.
She had managed to come downstairs, pull the stool over to the counter and climb up on it without either of us hearing her. We didn’t have a TV or radio on either. I snapped a picture quick, to show her when she was a teenager to explain why she was already grounded…
As I looked closer, she had taken her baggie of goldfish and dumped them into the jar of chocolate eggs.
I guess she was making a trade!
:: THIS IS THE POST FROM 1 WEEK LATER::
Tonight I had a coupon class about an hour away from home without traffic, with traffic at 5:30 it took me a fun 2 hours to get there. But my little sister is in town and came with me, so we had a chance to chat.
The coupon class was a lot of fun and there were some awesome ladies and the food was great! They were really nice even though I was 15 minutes late and started talking while I was still setting up! Thanks Ladies in Katy TX, you guys ROCK!
When I left home, I left the older children in charge, you know, the responsible ones. The one/s that in a very short time will be driving… Paul was at another child’s baseball practice and would be home shortly. The coupon class was a blast and we closed the place down, they actually kicked us out!
As we got into the car and I turned it on, the gas light came on. I said to my sister, “oh I guess I need gas.” I was driving my husbands car (which I NEVER drive) and was not familiar with all the controls. I quickly checked my email as we were getting ready to pull out and saw this picture below from my husband with the following caption…
Why you don’t leave kids in charge…
As Paul walked into the house, this is what he saw.
The baby is completely naked and apparently trying to repeat her death defying feat from the other day! As any parent would do, the first thing he does is snaps a picture, saves the baby, and then yells at older children!!
THIS is an EVERYDAY thing at my house. I hope that some of you can relate!

I LOVE your family posts! I am a frugal shopper, but I don’t clip coupons. I enjoy looking at your website several times a day in hopes that you will post about your family. Although we have three children (not 7) our youngest baby and yours are very close in age, and I enjoy reading about your baby because it helps me to see that we are not the only ones who encounter things like this with our youngest on a regular basis! Keep em coming Tiffany!

OMG…I forgot about that one. Now THAT was my favorite. I called my mom and read that one to her. It was hilarious!

She is such a doll! My littlest (21 months) is quite the daredevil also! I think it comes from watching the older ones. She is fearless & she terrifies me daily!

My two year old does the exact same things. Her brother never. I fear she won’t survive childhood with all her crazy stunts! Glad I’m not the only one.

LOL. Seeing your naked baby reminded me of my naked baby 20 years ago. Her bedroom that she shared with her older sister had a window. Outside that window was a roof that went over our porch. Well my baby climbed out that window buck naked. After she climbed out she realized “Oh Sugar I’m stuck” and was afraid to climb back in. Her older sister of course was too afraid to alert us. But don’t worry. Our neighbor and his friend ran over to tell us. As a matter of fact all the neighbors got a good laugh. Yep kids have no fear. And parents do not have enough eyes or ears. It’s a great combination.

Grew up oldest of 9 kids, I have 5 myself. Your posts about your kids are so funny because I’ve lived it at some point on one side of it or the other 🙂 Too cute. My 4 yr old is that way, always pushing his limit, never really was a baby or kid. They’ll survive although the question is will we? Haha

I know the feeling we have 5 together. 11 9 6 3 & 3 months. My 3 year old used one of her guardrails from her bed as a to get on the counter to get cereal. :)_

This cracks me up. I remember this post from last year, it was so very entertaining. I was thinking I don’t blame her a bit. Those Mini Eggs are worth climbing over obstacles to get to. Thanks for the update, looks like she’s going to be just fine after all. 🙂

Thats how I feel! I look forward to Easter just for those eggs!

Bua ha ha …..thank goodness I’m sitting down or I’d have probably peed my pants!! You tell the BEST stories, Tiffany! I am only 1 of 2 children, and have 3 (almost….we’re adopting a TEENAGER- what??) myself but our antics never seem as funny as yours!!

I personally miss your family posts. They are truly hilarious so please from time to time let us know how the family is doing….Or gotten into! My favorite….The kids locked in the room, door knob breaking, and you climbing outside and into the bedroom to rescue them. Your humor was priceless!!!

I want to pinch that little bum bum! I just want to squish it!
My baby was baptized on Saturday. My oldest baby went to her last prom that night. She’s starting BYU in only a few months! I wish I had blogging when they were littler. I would have blogged to my heart’s content. Blog to your heart’s content about those naked bottoms. They are adorable!

Oh please keep posting about your kids. My son is 39 and my grandson is 13 and grandmother is loosing her cool. I delivered babies for 30 years and now am retired. I love seeing what your kids are up to. Miss having littles ones.

They say the kid’s that are crazy when they are little are often more mellow in their teens, which was very true of my just turned 18yr. old nephew. He gave everbody the business except me for some odd reason, I would get calls from grandma and grandpa asking “will you talk to your nephew” everytime he stayed with them for a visit, this started when he was about 2yrs old. He didn’t say a whole lot that I could understand at that age but they said it worked like magic. This went on until he was about 12, then he was pretty chill. I guess I really am a fairy god auntie, lol!! I hope your crazy little adventurer follows a similar pattern so you can get a restful night of sleep now again.

I also love your family posts! They are always my favorite. I can totally relate. I only have 3 kids (feels like 7 sometimes!) and the oldest is 7, youngest is 2. So obviously I can’t leave my kids home to babysit. But, my youngest is also a little daredevil and so quiet, quick, and sneaky! He can get into the biggest messes in seconds. My other two never did these kinds of things. Anyway, you are definitely not alone!
