What is Amazon Subscribe & Save? You have heard me mention this a lot if you have been a reader for a while. Amazon has a lot of different services that are really helpful if you know how to use them, subscribe & save is one of them!
When you order through our Subscribe & Save program, you’ll:
- Automatically receive a new shipment of the item in the monthly intervals you select
- Receive a discount off our every day price
- Receive FREE shipping on every Subscribe & Save shipment that arrives on your monthly Subscribe & Save delivery day
- Pay for each order only when the item is shipped
- Have the option to cancel at any time
I use S&S whenever I have the option. This will get you a discount and free shipping if you don’t have Amazon Prime ( which we will talk about later ) and you can always cancel.
You will know an item offers S&S because you will see this option on the right side of your order page on Amazon:
Instead of picking the “one time delivery” choose “Subscribe & Save” to get the 20% discount and free delivery. You can choose how often you want an item delivered. I always pick 1 month because they will send you an email before you get another order.
There was a great deal on TP last month when you picked the S&S option. I placed an order and got my TP 2 day free delivery and cheaper then the store in town. They will remind you when you are going to get another shipment. I got this email the other day:
I don’t need or want any TP so I went and cancelled by clicking on the link right in the email they sent me. Click on “Make subscription or delivery schedule changes.”
Which took me to this page above. It had all the info about my upcoming order. On the right side it says “cancel subscription” just click that!
You are done. Now you wont get another shipment.
When you order a S&S item for the first time, you need to wait until the item has shipped in order to cancel. If it has not shipped you will actually cancel the item you just ordered. I usually wait until they send me that email above.
You can order as many things at a time as you want on S&S. You can cancel as many things as you want and still reorder anytime you want. Currently I think I have 3 things on S&S that I keep, Huggies Wipes, Coconut Water ( for my husband ) and my face cream ( every 3 months). I also have about 5 things that I will cancel when they email me.
What items do I typically buy on S&S:
- Diapers
- Wipes
- Coconut Water ( husband loves this stuff and is low calorie )
- TP
- Laundry Detergent
- Dishwashing Detergent

How did you get 20% off? Everytime I try, it only offers 5%…?
Tiffany says
I apologize to make that confusing. Some items are 20 and some are 5%.

I went to order diapers today, as I’m running low. When I went to check out the S&S deals, I found a good deal and added them with the S&S option. However, Amazon has changed the way the S&S deal works. Now, you can only choose a day of the month that the item will be delivered regularly. They won’t send it immediately! So when I ordered my diapers, they set my regular shipment day as the first of the month, which means, I won’t get my diapers until Dec. 1. Since I’m ordering on Nov. 9, I thought if I changed my regular ship date to the 15th, they would go ahead and send my first item, but no, it says my first shipment won’t arrive until Dec. 15. I tried it again using the 20th….my first shipment won’t arrive until Dec. 20! They give you the option to order one immediately, but you pay the full price…no S&S discount.
Just thought you might like to know. I don’t know when these changes occurred and I don’t know if you already knew this, but I was pretty irritated by it. I know diaper prices change periodically, so that means in order to do the S&S deals, you may not get the price you originally saw since they charge you on the day they send the item. I still haven’t decided if I’m going to go ahead with my S&S order (and buy diapers at the store to hold me over until Dec. 1) or just cancel it all together.
