Thanks to Cynthia (an AWESOME Pre-K teacher!) for sending this to me last night! It made for a fun drive around town running errands.
There are so many things wrong I don’t even know where to start!
First, you have to know that this was a coupon on the BACK of an HEB receipt! From the grocery store!
So someone brilliant at Late Night Tattoos thought, “hmmm, lets advertise a FREE body piercing with a tattoo purchase on the back of a grocery store receipt, because soccer mom’s grocery shopping, might want to run over after getting ice cream, and bread to get a tattoo and piercing”.
If Late Night Tattoos has childcare available, and my ice cream doesn’t melt, I AM IN!
Second, do you see where it says, “one coupon per visit, some restrictions apply“.
**snort**
This is where I have to ask myself, “were they having problems with people trying to roll these coupons!?!!” Was someone coming in and getting a tattoo and then getting a free piercing so often they had to limit it?
“Those dang ladies with their coupon binders, I am sick of tattooing I break for coupons across their backs, and then they get a free piercing!” Kat Von D says, “Thats it, we are going to have to limit it to one PER visit!”
Oh Man, too much fun! I need to call and ask them if they are getting any business from it, maybe they are onto something? Seriously. If they are I need to get my blog logo on there next to theirs!

Well, if you’re someone who is into tattoos and piercings, this is actually an excellent deal. Considering piercings run from $60-$100 each. If i lived there, i know i’d be asking if i could do this more than once..
And I’m sure their target audience wasn’t “Soccer moms with coupon binders.”
although this soccer mom would love to come across a coupon like this!
lol Too funny. I always check the back of my receipts. There are always coupons for surrounding restaurants (both sit down and fast food), even NTB coupons and dental offers too. =0)

Not so sure they were thinking of soccer moms with coupon binders with this one but I know my husband would probably jump at this. Piercings aren’t cheap.

That is funny. I personally don’t like tattoos but now days you would be surprised who has tattoos and body piercings. I know of a lot of “soccer moms” who do have them. So, I think they made a smart advertising move and it is a great deal.

not to sound snarky, but how is this funny? i’d love to get a deal like this, piercings(depending on where you get it) can get pretty expensive, so it’s a great deal!! I have a friend who is in the business, and any way they can get their name out they will within reason. soccer moms aren’t the only ones who grocery shop, and my friend(whom you may call a soccer mom) is covered in tattoos and piercings because they love it! and are beautiful on them. her husband is a tattoo artist and it takes a LOT of skill and talent to do what he does and he gets a lot of grief from people who don’t know what it takes to do what he does for a living, people are too quick to judge him and he’s the most awesome person ever!!
I don’t think anyone is judging anybody, I think it is clever marketing and was surprised to see it on the back of an HEB receipt!!

I agree w/Emily B! i am a tattoo lover and I’ve had a few piercings(taken out now). So for someone like me…this is an awesome deal!

I too, am one of these people and I don’t know why people are getting SO UPSET! I am a mother of 3 girls and have 7 tattoos and 2 piercings (I had 4 others, but have taken them out – they were in my face, so I took them out for my children; HOWEVER, I still have my tongue and belly button pierced (I’m 38)! So EVERYONE, take a chill pill – this was blown way out of hand!
Looks like my weekend is planned! Take hubs with me to shop – send him home with groceries… then off to get my Tattoo and Piercing! LOL Anyone wanna join????

As someone with plenty of tattoos and piercings, I would say this is a good deal…however, I don’t know that I’d want to get a tattoo from a company that doesn’t even realize “tattoos” doesn’t get an apostrophe.
i’ve a sahm with tattoos and piercings 😛 i would LOVE to have this coupon but we don’t have a heb 🙁 our kroger only offers maid services and free mcdonalds/burger king maybe its time to move to texas!
I want one for a BOGO tat! I have 2 and want another and my just turned 18 yr old is getting one. My one is on ankle small and I have a Tramp stamp very tasteful and not seen except when I want it seen. I am 44 and got my 1st one @ 37! Daughter getting a small heart with Texas A&M in it!!
Oh my gosh this is awesome! I want this coupon! I would take it to my tattoo shop to see if they would honor it. lol For someone that has 15 tattoos and twice as many piercings this is an awesome deal!

I don’t have any piercings, but would certainly consider a free one with my next ink! I don’t think it’s funny at all, but a fabulous deal. Wish my favorite parlor would advertise at my local King Soopers 🙂
The best place to get a piercing is a good well known tattoo parlor. Way better then clares or the icing that use a gun. I just want the free piercing that they are offering w/o getting the tattoo
I dont think Tiffany was judging. I also have tattoos that I got 30 years ago but still can’t picture myself using these coupons. I mean multiples. Go in once and say Hi can I have a peircing I have a coupon, heck yea along with the tattoo and then wearing a hat and going back 10 minutes later and getting the same deal. Yep must be into pain . I would need another receipt with the freempain medication if you buy one tattoo and get a free peircing and then the free pain medication, heck then and only then can you count me in.
