We have hamburgers often, they are easy to make and inexpensive. Plus, who doesn’t like a homemade burger?
Sometimes when I feel like things are getting a little stale and the dinner ideas are not very exciting to say the least, I like to slightly change things up a bit!
The other night we had mini-burgers. Not that we have not had these before, it had just been a while. It always makes the kids excited for dinner when something is miniature. To make them all the same size, I rolled the hamburger out to about a little less then 1″ thick. This would be a great job for a kid.
Then my 11 year old but them out with something about 4″ round. Make an indention in the middle, sprinkle with Lowry’s or your favorite seasoning and grill.
It was raining so I grabbed my grill pan and we did them inside. If you do not have a grill pan, I highly suggest one! I got one a few years ago when I was making a lot of fish tacos and have been surprised at how many times I use it in a week.
Anyway, back to the burgers!
We had some chips and fruit with these and they were a hit! A few times a year I miniaturize a few things that I make to shake things up a bit. The kids love it and I get away with an easy dinner!

Where did you pick up your rolling mat?
Tiffany says
It was at a outlet center… years ago!

Instead of a rolling mat you can use a cutting board. These are great I also make them for my family. Even great for dieters. You do not feel the guilt if you only eat one with some vegetables.
