So excited to see this is happening! Now you can redeem Savingstar Digital Rebates with your Walmart, Walgreens, Target, Dollar General, Kmart, Family Dollar and other purchases!
What Savingstar offers:
- One and done rebates: One time offers on single or multiple items – if it’s $1.00 back when you buy 2, both items must be purchased in a single transaction
- One or many rebates: One time offers that you can buy over time and across multiple stores – these are the $5 off $15 or $20 offers on a category (ie: any Snyder’s Brand items)
- Freebie Friday: Yup! currently EVERY weekend there is a freebie offer that you have 3 days to purchase and redeem. We’ve seen everything from yogurt to household cleaners.
- Healthy offer of the week: 20% back, with no minimum or maximum, on one produce item every week. We’ve seen cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, oranges, and more.
How it works at the new stores:
- You sign up with Savingstar
- You download the app at Savingstar and select the offers you think you can use
- You shop at a store that does not have a shopper card (ie: Walmart, Walgreens, Target, Dollar General, etc)
- You go home and upload an image of your receipt WITH THE SAVINGSTAR APP. (Get it for iTunes and Android)
- Within 30 days the “coupon” amount will be credited to your Savingstar account.
- When you reach $5 or more in your account, you can cash out to Paypal, your bank account, or Amazon.com gift card.
How it has worked so far:
- You sign up with Savingstar
- You register your shopper card for stores like Kroger, CVS, Rite Aid, and more – if the stores didn’t have a shopper card, they weren’t included.
- You log in at Savingstar and select the offers you think you can use
- You shop at any of the stores you registered your card with and buy items on the Savingstar program
- The money does NOT come off at the register, within 30 days the “coupon” amount will be credited to your Savingstar account online.
- When you reach $5 or more in your account, you can cash out to Paypal, your bank account, or Amazon.com gift card.
This is different from Checkout 51 and more like ibotta that requires you have the app.
Digital rebates have become the next big thing in saving money. Gone are the days of buying an item, mailing in a form and receipt, and waiting 6-8 weeks to know if you have been denied or you get a check. Digital rebates are fast, easy, done over the internet or your smartphone, have many more offers for food (including fresh dairy, meat, and produce), and a lot more convenient to see what’s available.
