Readers Trip: Christina Saved $149.43!! {While nursing a baby! ;)}

Here is an AWESOME readers trip from Christina that she is sharing with us from her Kroger shopping trip.

Made a running trip through Kroger last night after the kids were in bed. I got soo many great deals! I ended up splitting it into 2 because I was hoping the Catalinas would print from the cereal in the first transaction…they didn’t! Plus, our store limits the umber of like printed coupons you can use in one transaction to 3. (So irritating!)

I ended up with:
10 boxes of General Mills Cereal (4 Multigrain Cheerios, 2 Cookies & Cream cereal, 2 Vanilla Chex, & 2 Lucky Charms)
12 bottle of Purex
4 packages of Oscar Mayer hotdogs
4 boxes of Capri Sun
8 canisters of Koolaid
8 canisters of Country Time
4 boxes of Hefty zipper bags
8 bottles of Gatorade
1 Shick Hydro power razor

Coupons used:
1 ecpn for $1/2 country time
1 Kroger coupon for $2/4 General Mills cereal
1 Kroger coupon for a free Shick razor up to $10.99 (Mine was $10.93)
4 Purex $1/1 printables
4 Purex $1.50/2 printables
2 Capri Sun $1/2 printables
2 Oscar Mayer $1/2 printables
2 Vanilla Chex $0.75/1 printables
2 Cookies and cream cereal $0.75/1 printables
2 Cheerios Multigrain cereal $0.75/1 printables
3 Country time $1/2 printables
4 Koolaid $1/2 printables
2 $1/2 Hefty storage bags printables

Total spent after coupons: $56.28
Total saved after Kroger card & coupons: $149.43
($41.43 of that was just coupons!)

From Christina: I had originally planned for different types of cereal (and would have printed two more .75/1 Multigrain Cheerios coupons!) but my store was out of stock on several cereals. And none of the Cheerios were marked as part of the sale except Multigrain. 🙁 So, had I taken a little more time than I did to plan (while nursing my baby, lol), I’m sure I could have done this better. But, I’m happy with the end result. My hubby is set on drinks FOR A WHILE, and that’s about a years worth of detergent for my little family of 5. I can send the free razor to my brother on his mission, along with some drink mix. He’ll love that 🙂 That razor coupon came from a mailer I got a couple weeks ago from Kroger. It also has some high value shaving cream coupons, so I’ll watch for a sale on those too. 

Thanks again for all you do. I have 3 kids under 4, so I don’t have time to chase all these deals on different sites. (Look who I’m telling…I know you have more than twice that many kids, lol)  I just love that I can rely on you to have the deals all in one place and with transaction details!!

* Ok, I just about cried… this sounds just like me, I always planned my trips while nursing a baby! AND running to the store after they are in bed! SOOOOO been there! I have to say, I thought 3 was the HARDEST time I ever had with kids! It was horrible. They are all so little and the oldest one is not old enough to really help. Having 7 is FAR easier then 3 under 4! You keep up the good work mama! It gets so much easier when they are a little bigger and you have older ones!
