We had so much fun! I would highly recommend this for your family!
** I have 2 little videos you can watch… I want to warn you that I am in my P.J.’s and my 16 month old is eating off the floor… and that is they way we roll!
You can get your own copy of the Elf on the Shelf HERE

Part comedian, part Dad, part athlete. He will boss around your children while they play ball.
Just as angelic as she looks, this girl could easily raise a Village by herself, and all the children would grow up to be President.
Self proclaimed, she would be a webkinz dog. Because, "they're cute, and puppies are too. And they're sweet and they always get along with other puppies."
This mini-Martha Stewart can handle ANY craft you send her way. She isn't all bows and rainbows, she's got karate kid moves!
Not "Pick-Me-Up" like caffeine, she wants you to pick her up! AND NOW!
Anything that can be destroyed WILL be destroyed!
Practically Perfect in Every Way for now! Nicknamed "The Panda" she is rolly polly and lives by the motto, "the little one, is KING!"
The resident Labradoodle, Miller got his name because Mom won and got to name the baby! Need something chewed up? He'll take care of it. Especially if it's expensive..
I love the movie. We got Jeffrey, Our Elf, last year. Any time the kids act out I get him out. It totally freaks them out. I pulled Jefferey out Monday and my oldest spotted him first thing in the morning. Then they went to their grandmas and Jeffrey happens to be over there too. Hint: We have 2 Elfs.
Great Idea to have 2! We named ours “chocolate buddy” I have no idea how that happened!
love your family your guys so cute
So cute! I really want to do this with my kids. Tiffany what program did you make the first video with? It was so awesome! Thanks.
iMovie from apple for both. I used the trailer for the first one.
We started that this year too! I told the kids that he just showed up here, but I am not sure how to explain myself if the kids happen to see that you can buy the elf in the store.
How adorable. Your little Andy makes me want another one. I might try this with my kids this year. Maybe it will help the 4 year old. I think my 7 year old will know though. But it’s worth a shot.
My 5 year old is the one who has been the biggest fan, then the 7 and 3 year old, they are Waaayyyy excited about it, they were banging on my door at 5:45 am this morning to say the Elf was gone…. Even our 9 year old might not be sure about it!
awesome – you are such a great mom!
I love your videos…you guys are awesome! I have never seen these before but I think our house needs an elf in the shelf too. You guys are awesome! Thanks for being a good sport Paul.
what a fantastic, fun idea! I need Elf on a shelf in my home!! By the way, you have a beautiful family!!
We started this a few years ago, my daughter named him Pinocchio. He arrives in the package at the door on Thanksgiving night, right before bed. We get the kids distracted and my husband runs outside, puts it on the front step and rings the doorbell and sneaks back in through the garage. We sit together on the couch, as a family, and read the story. Mom or Dad place him somewhere that night (his magic brings him to life that night after they go to sleep), and the kids understand that they aren’t allowed to touch him, otherwise his magic won’t work, and he can’t fly home every night to tell Santa they were good. He sticks around until Christmas Eve, upon which he flies home with Santa on his sleigh. Santa gives him a mention in his letter he leaves thanking the kids for the milk and cookies and carrots for the reindeer. It is an adorable tradition, and the kids really enjoy looking for him each morning. Sometimes he hides in tricky places, sometimes in silly places.
Love your video, Thanks for sharing! What a beautiful family you and Paul have!
Thank you!
LOVE THIS! Wish I would have known about him earlier on….great video and thanks for all you and Paul bring to us each and every day. Happy Day after Thanksgiving.
Chocolate Buddy isn’t far off from our elf, Skippy Blueberry. We started this last year when my twins were 2. 🙂 Our elves must be related!
How absolutely adorable!!!!
