Thats it. I am driving out to College Station this week to go shopping at Kroger. I am not even kidding a little bit. Who wants to come with me, I will drive 🙂
This is reader Laura’s trip today: FREE, yep your heard me, FREE with doubles and triples!
From Laura:“Thanks for always having great matchups and tips. This is the best I’ve ever done, all 139.84 worth for FREE. It helps that the Kroger here in Bryan still doubles and triples coupons. Just one more reason I’ve glad I don’t live in Houston anymore.”
Deals Here:

College station doubles Qs? If that’s the case I will make a bi weekly or monthly trip as necessary it’s only just over an hour drive from Conroe.
Heather Newcomb says
I will go!!! 🙂 I am free on tuesdays and thursdays! NICE JOB!!
Toni says
Wow! I would come depending on the time of day etc.
Jen says
What is their double/triple policy?
Katie says
I shop in Bryan/College Station and there are 3 Krogers there…1 off of Rock Prairie (which will be the closest for people coming from Houston area), 1 off of Texas Ave, and 1 off of Boonville. They have the old policy still on doubling and tripling, but they have NO limits on how many they will double or triple. Sometimes I wish they did, as there is a lady that I have seen shopping in Krogers several times, that clears the shelves with 50+ coupons per item. It drives me nuts, as these are the people that do the couponing world harm.
Roz says
What’s the address of this Kroger? I wanna make a trip too, I live in Spring and my Kroger won’t take three of the same coupon anymore : (
Julie J says

Connie P. says
Take me with you, Jen!!!
Elizabeth says
I will pay for gas! Your car fits like 20 right?!
Samantha says
I will go with you…
lll says
I totally miss the doubling and tripling, I don’t live near enough to join the caravan, but was wondering if any other Kroger’s are still doubling/tripling?
Tiffany says
No one in Houston does. You can go east to Louisiana or go west. Dallas does not double or triple.
Steph says
$19.54 was a prescription redemption of some kind. Look at the bottom of the receipt. Maybe a prescription transfer?
Kaitlin L. says
Great trip! Please don’t go to College Station just for the coupons, though – you’ll spend more than the extra savings in gas!
Tiffany says
Kaittlin, I am not really sure you will. Gas there and back will cost me $30, I will save $100+ on groceries, plus it is fun!
Kaitlin L says
I agree – totally fun (and a rush). But, if you’re just talking about the savings from the doubling/tripling and have a trip similar to Laura’s, that’s only saving you an extra $22.40, right? I would suspect that you can do a bigger trip pretty easily though 😉 Plus, if you have friends go, that helps them out!

Did she make a list of the items and specific qs she used. I live in Tucson and my kroger (frys) rounds every q up to a dollar.

Brooke says
The “all free with doubles and triples” is actually quite misleading. If that is truly her receipt, she has an RX redemption applied that deducted almost $20. It’s great to pay nothing, don’t get me wrong. But don’t expect the same results just by purchasing the same mega items.
Tiffany says
You can also get a transfer and money off with a transfer. There was a coupon in the paper. I am sure you probably just jumped on and didn’t see that I posted this last night without the 2nd picture. Laura was nice enough to send over her receipt this morning for us, which is awesome she saved 100%! I was able to upload it and post it from my phone while I was at church this morning. I was actually pretty proud of myself as I had to do it all in HTML. I never imagined anyone would complain about it bring misleading and I am sorry that you can’t read the receipt and go with the info from there.
Barbara C says
It looks like on her receipt she had 19.54 for Rx prescription redemption she must have got a $25. card for transferring her prescriptions. I’m not able to do that since my medical insurance united health care uses CVS caremark but I do get some extra bucks
Jen says
Barbra- my united healthcare rx benefits are also Caremark you do not have to use cvs! I fill at Kroger, heb from time to time. You should call Kroger and ask if they take Caremark (don’t call it cvs Caremark they may stop listening after the cvs and jump to conclusions about the cvs rx card… Completely different). Hope that helps!
Marie says
It is still a good/great deal even without the presciption redemption she had. Look at all she bought and it would have been under $20. It really seemed like Kroger was “slacking” the last several weeks/months but the last 2 weeks have been awesome. I love it when they have these sales.
Samantha says
Wow why are some people so UGLY??? This nice reader did a GREAT job at Krogers and wanted to share her trip with everyone and when she does people just bash her… What is wrong wih you guys??? Even if she didnt have he RX redemption she would of only paid $19.54 for everything in the picture and I dont know about anyone else but I would GLADLY pay that for it all…
Please all of you negative Nellys dont ruin Tiffany posting reader trips for the rest of us that actually appreciate them..
Brenda says
Does anyone know if the kroger in Galveston Tx doubles and triples any longer? It would be better from me to drive then then Bryan TX , but I will if I have to . thanks for any info someone can give me
Leah says
The Kroger’s in Galveston does not double or triple!! 🙁 Also, the prices are more than if you were to shop off the island. They boost the prices here because they think it is a “resort island”!! Again 🙁
Laura says
Barbara, I have Health Select United Healthcare/CVS insurance as well. Kroger is a participating pharmacy under CVS Caremark, That’s how I got the pharmacy credit to cover the amount owed.
julie says
Hi from Colorado to everyone in Texas getting those smokin deals. I want to personally thank Laura for Sharing her sucess it is SO motivating to see what she did.
A little less complaining and whining from the “negative nelly” crowd and a lot more GREAT JOB. Everyone who works hard to save their family money as long as they are doing it morally and legally should be PROUD of their WORK.
Michelle says
That’s really good to know about Kroger’s doubling/triples in College Station! We are moving to the Magnolia area soon from upstate NY. All the stores here double/triple and I’m so used to it. Glad to know I can make a trip to another Krogers so I can still do that :))
Susan wright says
Where in ny? I grew up in Rochester.
Michelle says
I’m in Saratoga Springs. Have you lived in Texas long?
Aurora says
I use to do real good before the Houston Kroger Corp stopped double/triple-ing coupons. I called the headquarters one day, they told me the Houston area covers from The woodlands down to League City and from Rosenburg to almost Beaumont. I live near Cypress, and it just doesn’t make sense to drive so far every week unless there is a bunch of great deals. I wish there was a way we could petition Houston Kroger to bring back the old policy. Even if they put a limit on coupons, I could work with that. Randals only double/triples on the first coupon, after that it’s only face value.
Tiffany says
They will not be bringing them back sadly 🙁
