These next 2 weeks at Kroger there are some overlapping deals that might be a little confusing, so I want to explain them and how they work together.
There are 2 separate deals going on. The Kroger Mega Event and a few catalina deals. These are overlapping each other, which is awesome for us!
Kroger Mega Event: When you buy 10 of ANY specially marked items you will get $5 off instantly at the register when you swipe your Kroger card. The key is to use coupons with these items to save even more money.

Catalina Deals: When you buy the specific number of items required, after check out you get “cash back” in the form of a catalina or “register coupon” the long skinny coupons that the cashier hands you with your receipt. Treat this like cash as you can use it on whatever you want right away.

even though the shells are cheese aren’t part of the mega sale, there used to be a printable coupon out (not available anymore) but i printed them and used them. they are only $2.15 right now at my store. coupon was for $1 off and if you buy 10, they are basically .15 cents after the cat. without coupon, $1.15 is still a good deal!

I usually use self check-out at my Krogers, since I can see when the Catalina is printed can I use it right then and there during that transaction?
No, it is for the next transaction. Mine don’t print until the transaction is over.
Is there a limit to how many printables you can use at one time?
It is going to depend on your store.
I did the catalina deal at Kroger in the Woodlands and I received the $10 catalina but not the $2 catalina for the mayo. It seems like the overlapping deals did not work for me. 🙁
have done it at 2 in The Woodlands and Kroger picked it up so it will print. Check to make sure they both got scanned, that they are both mayo not miracle whip and that they are the right size.
I usually use self checkout at Kroger, but it seems that when I checkout with the cashiers at the regular checkout, I don’t have as much trouble with the coupons scanning. Twice I’ve gone through the regular checkout when I had more coupons to use that had given me trouble on a previous visit at uscan – and twice they sailed right through at the regular checkout.

I have a question! I’m going to go to Kroger later today to do the Kraft deal. If I buy 20 of the items for the $10 Catalina, will it print 2 $10 catalinas? Or is it better to purchase the items in two separate transactions?
No you need to do them separately.
well dang it! i just realized my krogr in la porte did not give me my catalina’s for the kraft deals saturday AUGH and i threw away the recpt this morn for trash pick up darn — just lost $5

I attempted to do this last week and realized after getting home I got the wrong size of cheese and only got $2 catalina! Should have been a clue that there was only 1 package left of the right size of cheese! lol. And now I’m out of coupons for it! Oh well! I will have to pay better attention next time cause I also bought Velveeta shells thinking they were included in the Mega Event too!
I just found an expired kraft catalina coupon. Anyone ever tried to use an expired one and did the grocery store take it?

Hey Tiffany, I have a question. Yesterday I went to the Krogers in Magnolia. (Corner of FM 1488 and FM 2874) and I bought several items including 2 mayo and 8 kraft mac n cheese. When I checked out – I got the catalina for the $2 off my next order from the mayo but I did not get the $10 for buying 10 Kraft products….. Technically I did buy 10 kraft products if you add the quantities of the 2 items together – what went wrong? Should I go back to Kroger and inquire there? Please let me know what someone can do in this instance to get it resolved. Thanks!
Hi Mary, double check and make sure you got the 14oz. If so then call the catalina company and they can mail you one.

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge. I did the Mega Sale earlier this week along with coupons. I tried it again with twenty items & received $5 off but looks like my catalina overlapped and prevented me from getting another instant $5 off. I wish I had tried it was a separate transaction but I did get a $1 catalina and I had over $10 in coupons. I’m getting better with my couponing.
YOu are doing a good job! They should not have overlapped so something else happened. Try counting the items on your receipt and make sure you had 20 for sure. went back & did kraft again got $10.00 & $2. for mayo, but did not get $3 for crystal lights – bought 4 of the cannisters where you make it in a 2 qt pitcher -so make that was the wrong kind

I bought over 10 of the qualifing items on Thursday. When I got home and looked at my catalinas, I did not have one for my kraft items. Is there anything I can do at this point? (This was at Kroger) Thanks, cindy
Yes, take the receipt back and ask them if they can print it OR email or call the catalina company and have them send it to you.
