I am so excited to tell you about what I have going on tomorrow! Kroger once again is have a “Cake -Off” to benefit the local Houston Food Bank. The theme is called “Bringing Hope to the Table.”
YOU CAN HELP:
Kroger’s annual Bringing Hope to the Table campaign will give shoppers the opportunity to help raise money for the Houston Food Bank and its ongoing programs that support local food-insecure families, seniors and children. From May 1 – 14, customers can purchase a variety of campaign tagged products and a percentage of the sale will benefit the Houston Food Bank. This year, the Bringing Hope to the Table campaign is expected to raise more than $150,000 in the greater Houston area.
A few years ago I had the opportunity to participate in this campaign by decorating a cake at the competition… I won! Which meant that Kroger donated a LARGE amount of money to the Houston Food Bank in MyLitter’s name! ( I was also 8 months pregnant, and HUGE, so don’t judge! 🙂 )
* Make sure to say a little prayer for me tomorrow morning and I will try and post updates live as we do this!
Either way, the Houston Food Bank wins, and the people who need some help win, and YOU win when you purchase the specially marked items from Kroger in the next few weeks!
::I get to compete again tomorrow morning, and I need your help!::
My theme is Live, Love and Laugh, which is an AWESOME theme, I get to decorate 1/2 sheet cake and I can plan a little ahead by bringing props and additional embellishments (e.g., small toys, dolls, action figures, etc.).
I have an idea in my head, but wanted to see if you guys had anything brilliant you can add or any ideas of something cool I can do?!
Please leave any ideas in the comments…

Wouldn’t it be cool if you could use same technique that puts kid’s pictures on a cake? I would get like 12 small pictures of different people from different ages, ethnicities and genders, playing, laughing, hugging, kissing, blowing bubbles, camping, skating, surfing, etc. and put those pictures on the cake.

Denise you are reading my mind! I spent ALL night trying to find that Wilton paper that is editable. I called and went to Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Williams Sonoma, Sur La Table, Walmart etc. Can’t find it anywhere!
