Kroger mega event challenge

Over on one of our Facebook pages we had a little shopping challenge… we gave 6 people $20 to go shopping at Kroger this past week. You can check out there hauls below.

The challenge is not over yet! You get to vote and choose your favorite haul, and who ever gets the most votes, get’s a $50 Kroger Gift Card just in time for Thanksgiving! Voting ends Thursday night at 10pm. Winner announced Friday morning.

Please leave a comment in the comments below giving us either the name or number of the haul that you think should win!

* The goal of this challenge was to see how much you could get for $20! It doesn’t have anything to do with making a meal, or eating for the week, it is just for fun!

My total was $21.98

11 / 2 liters…10 for 10 and mega saving .50 off each and I had .25 coupon off each.
3 Pringles for 1.49 mega saving .50 and no coupon.
2 packages of Oreo’s $2.98 with .50 mega savings and I had .50 coupon .
1 bottle of Ms. Butter w. Syrup for 2.99 kroger saving .80 and had a .55 coupon.
10 cans of green giant veggie .99 kroger saving .60 no coupon.
2 boxes of Orville r. Popcorn kroger saving .19 and mega savings .50 and coupon for 1 off each.
2 boxes of minute rice for 1.99 and .50 mega savings with .50 off each.

In lieu of my past hauls of stocking up on only a few items, I decided to make my $20 Kroger trip into an example of how you can get many items on a budget for your daily needs. There was a post from a lady who was in need recently, and I wanted to show her there’s hope in providing meals for the family at a reasonable price. Here’s what I got:

  93. They’re .49 after mega -$1/2 insert coupons. Different regions have different prices I’m mid Atlantic and our ara .49 after mega but yes ibhae my receipt if Tiffanybwould like it 🙂

  134. #2 Matt because he had a variety of items. It is easy buying multiples of the same item but he mixed it up and had you could actually make a meal with.

  155. I wish I’d known about the challenge. I had 20 Hefty bag coupons and 8 of the Aveeno. I could have made that $20 go a looonnnnggg way. 😉
