This is from Paul on his site, we are planning a HUGE effort to help! Stay tuned for more info!
If you live in or around Joplin I would like to hear from you. Please let me know what kinds of things are needed most in your community. I would like to do something to help in even the smallest way, but I am from Texas and we like to do it big down here. Answers in the post are fine or if you would like to email me you can do that also. I heartthemarters be on standby, I have received a lot of emails asking how to help and I am working on it.
** If you are in the Houston area, and would like to donate items, they are in need of EVERYTHING (read the comments on Paul’s blog HERE) you can drive up items to The Woodlands Christian Church. 1202 North Millbend Dr. We are personally driving out to help and will load it all in a trailer.
From Rhema – I live 40 minutes from Joplin. Many people lost all of their possessions. They are currently asking for donations of bottled water, individually wrapped snacks (preferrably diabetic friendly), clothes and undergarments, diapers, wipes, OTC medicines. Our small coupon group took up a donation last night. I think I speak for SW Missouri when I say any and all help is greatly appreciated!

I’m in SE Kansas and yesterday I put together donations from my stockpile and also went coupon shopping for Joplin.
When I dropped the goods off with my best friend who was headed to Joplin today, she said that they are in need of soy baby formula.
If anyone still has the $5/1 Similac coupon, it made the soy bottled kind just under $2 at my local Wal-Mart.

Tiffany,
I live in The Woodlands and plan to bring some things to the church. Toilet paper, razors, formula, some foods, bottled water, etc. If I drop off at the church, should I just take it to the church office and they’ll know what it’s for? When is the deadline?
Tiffany says
Looks like the deadline will be June 13th. They will know in the office what it is for!

Tiffany,
I’m in The Woodlands and I’m thinking about driving up to Joplin on Saturday. I have a truck and a small trailer. I’ll try and make this happen if you think we can fill them up by Friday.
Tiffany says
I emailed you!

I really want to help some folks in Joplin… I live in Massachusetts, but do you know of any organizations that are helping long-distance?
I am even willing to SHIP items if that is feasible ~ please let me know if you have a contact, I will keep searching around my area.
Thanks!!!
Jaime

I live in Joplin. I just happened upon this sight in a Google search for sending coupons to the troops. (lol). And yes, I realize this is an old post. And it’s been almost 3 1/2 years later. But I CAN NOT thank you all enough for any donations or help you might have done/sent. It was unimaginable. You could never dream the amount of Volunteers we had here. The people literally walking down the road handing out supplies, or wanting to help you find what possessions you had left, or clean up the debris. My heart goes out to you all. Our hearts, as a community, go out to you all. There isn’t one person in this town that I have ran into since, that wouldn’t tell you the help that poured in was amazing. We never dreamed that so many people would come to help people they never met. Or send the amount of supplies you did. Thank you, thank you, thank you! And honestly, thank you still doesn’t describe how appreciative we are still. You helped us manage a time in our lives that we didn’t know how to go forward.

Oh wow!! Thank you so much for your comment. I think about your town all the time. I am so sorry for everything you had to go through and we appreciate you letting us help just a little. Thank you for the amazing experience that my husband and son were able to have together. I hope that you and your family are doing well and have a wonderful Christmas season.
