Every time I go to HEB & try to use a manufacturer coupon combined with the store coupon, they tell me that I cannot do it. Is this something new?
angie ramirez says
I was going to say the same thing.. which HEB is letting you go this because I’m there!!
~Just Andrea~ says
some of the HEB in-store coupon are manufacturer coupons, so those don’t combine if they have ‘m’ on it, then it’s a manufacturer coupon, but if they have a ‘B’ on it is a store coupon, and can be combine with the manufacturer coupons…try a different cashier or different store…
Angela says
I get the same thing in my area. They say you can use one or the other but not both.
Tiffany says
Print the coupon policy and take it with you.
Diane says
Most HEB coupons are type M (look for the capital letter in the bottom corner of the yellow coupon) but according to their coupon policy you CAN combine HEB coupons w/manufacture coupons ONLY if the HEB coupon is type B or S…in this case, both of the HEB coupons Tiffany is referring to are type B so you’re good to stack 🙂 Yea! Thanks for sharing!!!

When do the cereals and fruit snacks expire I know mine will be different but last time I did a deal like this at Randalls was 6 mo ago and they expire the end of this month so I had to give away like 7 boxes fruit snacks 🙁
Sara says
Yeah….I didn’t think you could use an in-store coupon with a manufacturer coupon at HEB?
Tiffany says
If it has the “B” you can
Kristy says
Thank you so much for including a picture. This will help me so much! I’m planning a trip tomorrow morning to pick up some cereal and fruit snacks! 🙂
@ Jennifer: You can print out HEB’s store coupon policy and bring it with you when you check out. You can find it here: http://www.heb.com/page/weekly-ads/ads-coupons/coupon-policy

I got the fruit snacks, and I did not get the $5.00 catilina. I did not get the right participating items for that (so make sure you check the Box Tops sign to get the right ones. It was still a pretty good deal with the HEB coupons plus manufactur coupons.

does anyone know where i can get more of the general mills coupons? i didn’t get them in my inserts and this looks like a really great deal!

Thanks so much for posting this great find! I went to the HEB on Market St. last night after my hubby got home.
Bought 12 boxes of cereal (4 different kinds) and 12 boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks and paid $17.34 (cashier let me use my catalinas)!
Amazing!

I posted about this deal on last weeks HEB Deal update, I guess nobody read it. Nice to see the great deals everyone’s getting, didn’t know about the catalinas though.
Kristi says
I went to HEB and bought 12 boxes of cereal and 8 boxes of fruit snacks…thats 20 box tops…no catalina’s spit out at my HEB even after I paid…they wouldn’t do ANYTHING they just told me to call the 1800 number! I ended up paying 29 bux for everything…disappointed.
Tiffany says
Kristi!
All is NOT lost! I am thinking it is a store register problem as this is the first problem I have heard of, I think it was their machine.
You can do 2 things… 1. return the cereal and fruit snacks. It is ok to do this. The deal didn’t work out like you thought and it was not your fault, just return them.
2. CALL the catalina company, they are VERY nice and will send you the catalinas in the mail. Their toll free numbers are 1-(888) 322-3814 or 1-888-8COUPON (1-888-826-8766)
Let me know what happens.
Dani says
Same thing happened to me tonight. Bought 20 box top items & no catalinas 🙁
Tiffany says
Dani, read that reply above and try any of those suggestions. Call the catalina company or you can always return them. You can even go to the CSD and return them and ask them to re-ring them up at a register where they know the machine is on etc.

Tara says
How are you able to use the catalina on the transaction? My catalinas always print after the transaction.
Michele says
How did you know about the catalina deal? Is there a website that gives this info? Any help is appreciated! It worked great at my HEB!!!
