I want you to think about giving your kids and family members haircuts. You don’t need to jump in and start giving flat tops, and high and tights, but you can make a haircut “stretch” a little by trimming bangs and around the ears to make a haircut last longer.
I figure I save $800 – $1000 a year by cutting my families hair. That is at $25 a hair cut and only counting the girls 2x a year.

To give you an idea, my set was $480 when I got them, granted I was working in a salon and needed a good pair. These might be pretty cheap, but should get you through a bunch of haircuts.

Thanks for the info about the cape. I just ordered one…have needed one for a long time but haven’t found one in stores. Several years ago I bought the Wahl clipper set to cut my husband’s and son’s hair but the cape that came with it was horrible so we threw it away. I bought the clipper set from a Kohl’s kiosk using a 30% coupon and received free shipping. It paid for itself with the first haircut! I had no idea how to use it so I watched several youtube videos. I don’t cut my girls’ hair but since they have long hair, they only need a few trims each year. Thanks again!

I bought the same cape a while back as I also had the plastic one that came with the Wahl clippers. For being as cheap as it was and coming from China I was very impressed. It is much larger/ nicer than expected. If you are clipping the little ones hair though you might have to add some velcro to the neck. Very happy with my purchase 🙂
