Does anybody know if CVS uses the $30 amount BEFORE or AFTER using coupons and ECB’s in order for me to receive the gas card? Meaning, if I buy products worth $33 but after coupons I only pay $20 do I still get the gas card?
I’m sorry I’m new to this and am just trying to figure out these little things.
it is AFTER coupons.
When getting ECBs on deals such as buy $10 and get $3 ECBs, the total is before coupons.
Why would this deal be after coupons?
I did this transaction yesterday, it is after. I had a calculator and my total was $30.12 before coupons.
The coupons in this deal look like they expired yesterday. Does CVS take expired coupons?
No they dont! That is my mistake!
I noticed you have the Saving Moment’s on the Dorito’s for coupons. They expired yesterday.
I got one deal that it was GREAT here is the scenario ( I did two transactions)
Transaction #1
6 revlon polishes $4.99 each = $32.42 (TX Tax included)
Get back $24 ECB
* If you have coupons this is a money maker, I had some but for some reason they beeped so the cashier refused to take them.
Transaction #2
4 -Lysol spray $5 each
$1(4) coupon from this sunday paper
=$20
4 M&M’s 2/$5
$1.50 (2) coupon from RP 5-22
=$10
Once you add the coupons your total comes down to $23 and you can add Purex Laundry detergent $1.98 minus the $1 coupon from the RP 5-1, that makes it $24+taxes….here comes the magic (LOL) you pay with the $24 ECB and you may only have to pay taxes. ( I didn’t pay anything). At the end of the transaction it’ll print out a little free gas card voucher, and the cashier will redeem it immediatly
$32.42 will buy this
* $10 Gas card (wooohooo)
* 6 Revlon polishes ($30)
* 4 Lysol ($20)
* 4 M&M’s ($10)
* Purex Laundry Detergent ($1.98)
You get $73 worth in stuff for $32.42 including GAS!!
This week for me was pretty great because I had a bunch of ECB’s and with the scenarios that I just posted. Also keep in mind that those $30 for the polishes count towards the beauty club ( when you spend $50 you get $5), so please if you haven’t joined yet…you better run to do so 🙂
If I spend $30 but have a $10 ecb does that mean I have to spend $40 or can I use the $10 ecb to only spend $20 and get the gas card?
The ECB should work as a gift card so you should be able to use it $30. Just in case I would ask, but I am fairly confident it will be just fine to do it that way!
