CVS is really my favorite… shhhh don’t tell Walgreens! They just make it so easy for you to love them! If you are new and don’t know, you can print your ECB’s at home.
This is what to do:
- Head over here —> and log in or sign up for an account
- If you’re signing up for an account you’ll need your CVS number, it is on the back of your card.
- Then go up to “My Account” (upper right)
- Then click on “Go to my ExtraCare Account”
- Then go to the “ExtraCare Rewards and Coupons”
I find this really helpful at the end of the quarterly spending period. It makes it easy for me to plan my trips knowing how much I am getting back! Thanks Chi Town Cheapskates for the reminder.

Does CvS let you do coupon overage. If so do they have a printable coupon policy. I’m having trouble at my cvs they said if the coupons more then the item they can’t do it.. Not trying to get money back just want to us overage towards other items.
Thats awesome!! I just printed $7 in ECB!! Thank you!!
Thanks Tiffany! I have a question for you. I just went to the cvs site to check out that Printing your own ECBs deal . . . so, yesterday I was at CVS, and was given my $3 ECB, and then I used it on a subsequent transaction. Now, online, I see that I have a $3 ECB that I could print, but it also says that was printed . . . so that was probably the $3 I already used, right? What makes me wonder is that you mentioned “quarterly” rewards. The $3 ECB I got, was for an advertised special in-store.
Yes that was probably it. by using your card you get 2% back (before coupons) each quarter. It is only a little bit but it is a nice surprise to get $3 or so back every now and then for doing nothing!
I’m a bit confused-I always get my ecb’s on my receipt and save them for my next purchase. Why would I want to print them out again?
Being a newbie to all of this is overwhelming. I was at the point of throwing in the towel until I came across your site. Thanks for all the information.
i wonder you said that can print ecb out online it’s that can use like coupons ecb from cvs like the one that they give us fromin store ? help please.
I am not sure I understand? Yes you can print the ones that you have earned (but not used) from online. Also you can print your quarterly earnings from online as well if you want. You still have to purchase the items that you need to in order to get the ECB’s
thank you, it so complicated but i will ask them at my cvs for sure thank you for answer. you are my big fan. i learn how to coupons from your blog. after i saw you on tlc. thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this info. I had no clue that I was racking up ECB’s on my previous purchases in addition to the ones they print for you. I have only shopped 3 times it shows and I have $5.00. No clue how that happens, but thanks for letting us know. Would they have known by scanning card that I had those ECB’s to use?
Thank you for sharing I did not know that I when I went there to check it out I noticed I was missing a few dollars from a few weeks ago. 🙂 I will have to keep an eye on this site to make sure that it doesn’t happen again.
any idea what the “current balance” tab and the “balance history” tab are about? im not sure I understand them and there’s no explination on their site
ok, nevermind! i called them and asked. The number next to the description tells how many you got for items that have a limit. I didnt understand it on my own because, for some strange reason, the number of items was in dollar form. So it showed a current balance of $2 and I was thinking I had some EBs somewhere that I wasnt able to print out!
like everyone else i pretty much have the same question so for example i bought some tampons for 6.79 and got back on my receipt 6.79 ecb. i just found out about register my card on line and discovered i can print them out to so i was able to print out a ecb for 6.79? so i can use that like a ecb?i though there is a limit to printing things out like 2 per pc i confused im not trying to get in trouble by this
